Not interested in this show but pricing wise am pleased that in fact the swathes of premium seats that have become usual have been reigned in.
Vast majority of Stalls is top price non premium at £74 from the official box office - not the worst in the West End and in fact probably the best we could hope for!

Sadly the announcement doesn't address the most important question: will they follow the Broadway production's lead and sell boxer shorts emblazoned with the slogan "if you have only one wish, make it BIG" at the souvenir stand?

Am as incredulous as Serial Shusher at the first casting announcement and wonder how a musical that bombed on Broadway to the tune of a $10m deficit will fare here.Surely the prices will put people off like Waitress has unless there will be big(!) discounts and deals.Who would pay £143 for a single ticket? Reality check needed!

Yep. The restricted-view seat that cost me £25 for An American In Paris is £41 for this.

This is gonna be like Bat out of Hell where they just closed the entire upper section night after night Of the Dominion? It was only ever on sale Fri/Sat, the same with WWRY, so not exactly closed. Just never on sale. It’s in a different postcode from the stage so hardly desirable. 😂

Really enjoyed BIG when I saw it on Broadway in 1996. Have also seen an amateur production of the revised version. There are some fantastic songs in the score - and I love Maltby & Shire's work in general. So I really want to see this at the Dominion. But just checked ticket prices and the cheapest I could find in the stalls were £82 (and up to £130 for "good" seats). That is simply insane!

So I appear to be the only person actually looking forward to this. I've just been to see the tickets for the first preview... they've sold just over 200 out of the 2163 capacity.
Expect discounts to pop up in the not too distant if this is how it's going this far.

This feels a bit like a panto casting! Did anyone see the show a few years back?

Just saw the trailor..and it occurred to me. Children or teenagers will think this is bizarre. It's set in a time when FAO Schwartz was a child's dream (it closed its business but came back last year), and children toys and entertainment was so different. A teenager's life shown in this show based on a film from the '80s is radically different than the lives of children and teens these days. A strange choice for a revival...

Phew, wonderful that Ms Walsh has been announced, I imagine this run will be sold out before next week thanks to her!
Srsly does she have much of a 'pull' to the public anymore?

I saw a poster on a Chiltern train between London and the Midlands last week...random!
