I can’t wait for this! I can see Lizzy Conolly or Sheridan Smith as Mrs George/Mrs Heron/Ms Norbury. Someone from graduate year as Cady. Maybe Jac Yarrow as Aaron Samuels. Regina and Janis need to be kick ass though.

Adelphi would match up with Hello Dolly's run and the aimed for opening time for this.
Isn't SFP producing this or have I imagined that? Cause if she is it SCREAMS the Savoy to me. There's a show that's already booked post Sunday in the Park but I don't think it's going to run for very long/limited run...

I am a MAJOR fan of the film, I could recite the script pretty much and I thought this was fun on Broadway, but frankly I'd rather just watch the film.
None of songs were even remotely memorable and there is nothing new really added to it.
A lot of the time an iconic line from the film is turned into a whole 3-4 minute song, which in the end turned quite frustrating as you lose the joke the song is based on and it just drags the whole thing out. In the end I just wanted it all to be over.
The staging and choreography was fun, but I don't know that I need to see it again.
If you love the film check it out as a curio if can get a cheap ticket.
If you've never seen the film save your money and watch it on Netflix instead of paying exorbitant theatre prices to see this x

Adelphi would make sense as a venue imo, for the same reason Being Alive said. Otherwise the only other place I could see it going is the Savoy because Sonia Friedman has used that space previously with Dreamgirls and others. |

Sheridan would be good in the Mrs Norbury/George etc. role it’s true but I don’t think she’d ever do it, she’s too much of a star for a supporting role like that. Love the suggestion of Jac Yarrow as Aaron though, he’d be great. I see Lucie Jones maybe as Regina, I just feel she’d be really good at playing “bitch” and it’s something completely different to Jenna for her.

The songs just seemed uninspired to me and the lyrics seemed lazy. I'll be the first to admit I'm not a big fan of modern pop musicals though so I went in knowing it wouldn't be my favourite but I'm glad it's finally arriving for those who love it. |

Ah yeah I think The Adelphi would be a good fit for Mean Girl although I’d have the same concerns about its being sustainable in such a large theatre as with Waitress! But I’m sure it will do well, at least for the first year, as it’s a known quantity.
I saw this on Broadway and really enjoyed it without thinking it was anything special. Personally much preferred it to Frozen and Pretty Woman if that means anything. West End is going import crazy right now. Excited to see who they pick for Regina!

I have to agree the bootleg is awful. I saw it last week with the new cast and it's simply a great night out. The music is themed for the characters similar but not the same what ALW had done for decades. So songs for Regina George all sound the same as that's her "theme". The cast was terrific and I would give away some of the casting choices/roles as they are truly inspired. I wish every day was halloween too, so of course I'm a fan of Mean Girls.
