I really like the cast recording and have listened to it a lot recently. Great orchestrations and it uses the songs very well to to match the story. Love One More Try and Problems/I can't Feel My Face mashup. Unfortunately it was the bits between the songs i didn't like in the actual show. I might have to go back and give it another go.

Grace is on all week as Juliet if anyone wants to go...she is AMAZING and well worth a visit... Can confirm that if you’re going this week you are in for an utter treat with Grace Juliet. I’ll always stand by the fact that her talents were greatly underappreciated in Six. She was my first Juliet and imo can often be stronger than Miriam. Ivan de Freitas is Lance all through this week until the 15th of Feb too thus meaning that Christopher Parkinson (aka creator of the iconic “Life of a Swing”) is playing Lord Capulet in Ivan’s stead. |

Hello everyone, I am planning to go to &Juliet in a couple of weeks and I have a couple of questions about day seats (because I have never done something like that before  ). My plan is to go to the matinee on February 15th. According to the almighty @theatremonkey I should then arrive before 8 am (so... 7:45h? 7:30h? help!). First question: where should I go? Just the box office of the Shaftesbury theatre? Is there some kind of overhang/shelter thing I can wait / queue under or should I definitely bring my umbrella (and leave my book at home)? Then, if they run out of day seats, I assume you can still buy a normal ticket, right? Because I do really plan on seeing &Juliet that day. One way or another!  Thanks for your help!  PS: I am completely anticipating falling in love with &Juliet |

I am completely anticipating falling in love with &Juliet Yes, you probably will. Shame you didn't have the chance to see it, again and again, in Manchester. I kick myself daily. The Shaftesbury Theatre has a canopy, so you should be able to wait in the dry and read...unless your fingers get too cold to turn the pages. Chances are, you'll strike up a conversation anyway. Dayseat queues are often friendly places! |

PS: I am completely anticipating falling in love with &Juliet The line starts right at the front entrance of the theatre. Just go there and you can either stand in line...or sit on the floor. There are a few places around there for a muffin or coffee. Obviously, when you arrive is a personal choice, but if you want to be one of the first people, I'd say get there around 7:15-7:30. (or the earliest you feel comfortable). Every day is different so who knows, but it is a Saturday so it's more likely to be busy (though there are two shows). You can buy regular priced tickets there if they run out of day seats. You will love the show It's really fun and the cast is great. |

PS: I am completely anticipating falling in love with &Juliet Saturdays are most certainly their busiest days because almost everyone is available to see those shows. I dayseated for a Saturday evening performance at the start of January & got there at roughly 7:45am & got A21 in the front row (practically bang in the middle). There were four people ahead of me but only two got tickets for the matinee, so I’d say about 7:45am/8am is probably your best shout for those good centre front row seats. |

Oeehh thanks for all the replies! I will try my hand at day seating then! It will be a memorable experience whatever happens, I guess I turned 27 in October, so sadly I can't get under25 discounts anymore  Thank god I still qualify for a railcard! Although I have to admit I am combining this theatre weekend with a trip for work, so I don't have to pay my train tickets myself. Hoorah! |

Arun went off mid-show tonight. Not entirely sure what happened or if he went off during the interval as I’ve only just been told by a friend, but Nathan, who was in his ensemble track, thus went on as May and Billy Nevers went on for Nathan’s ensemble track.

Really enjoyed the show last night. Good fun entertainment with a highly energetic cast. I loved how the audience would laugh or snort as a song began, the genuine reactions were really great and created a fun atmosphere.
I was in a cheapo seat £20.50 back of the stalls. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the Shaftesbury and I hate the changes. So many queues of people and confusion.

Well, I rocked up at the Box Office about 10 minutes ago (it's 13.50 now), and whilst Day Seats had gone, they've given me L13 in the Royal Circle for £20.50, and I've just observed 2 people turning up with seats in the Dress Circle(top layer) being told that it's closed, and they've been upgraded, which they were very happy about.
The lady who served me was lovely, and there is what I consider an adequate number of seats in the lobby bar area whilst I've been waiting for the doors to open.

Such a shame this isn't selling, with the amount of popular and well known songs you'd think it'd shift enough seats to get by. Such a shame as it really is a gem of a show. I imagine will see the year out, and then shut up shop! Terrible shame that new musicals aren't having the greatest time, bar a few, aren't having the greatest time.

Yes it's not selling amazingly, but it's selling pretty well, esp at weekends if you look at the seating plans. I am sure it will re-coup and make profit.
Midweek matinee audiences tend to be older and I don't think are really the target demographic for this show. They'd be better doing a 5pm and 8:30pm double show day on Fridays instead.

I hadn't heard that much about this show until I saw Cassidy and co on This Morning yesterday. The idea of a pop songwriter using some of his back catalogue as well as new songs is an interesting idea. In effect half original and half jukebox musical.
I like the concept, if it toured I'd give it a look.

I feel like they could do a Six - put some of the songs on TikTok followed by a series of prime-time TV appearances e.g. BGT, and sales will pick up.
