This shows gets a bad rap but I actually quite enjoyed what I've seen of it - with a good cast it could be perfectly enjoyable, and a nice family offering for the summer.

I'm the opposite, I thought it was awful in new York. They took a beautiful and moving movie and made something so generic and bland. Plus it was borderline offensive in the gay jokes.

TRDL seems unlikely. Too much of a gamble, I think.
It's useless, likely false gossip, but I had overheard (literally in person, at BTTF) talk that BTTF/Tina may not be extending further and something may be going in those theatres early/mid-2025, so it being Finding Neverland could make sense.
The Adelphi and Aldwych are both owned in some way by the Nederlander Org, who own the LF on Bway, but that's literally the only connection I could make.
I was always sceptical of this though, it seemed like baseless gossip. I could never trace it to a source online. I thought BTTF and Tina were both doing well still.
I thought I should post this anyway just in case someone has anything to say about it.

blamerobots it wouldn’t surprise me to see Back to the Future have one final extension to Feb/March and a new show open next Spring. I’d not be shocked if Tina didn’t even make it that far. Just looking at the seating plan, there’s always so many unsold seats - they must sell a huge number on the day. Both shows have had good runs so it would certainly be good to have something new.

See, I can sort of see it with Tina... I loved it, but talk has definitely died down.
But BTTF is still always looking popular everytime I go past. I know it's not doing great on Bway so they'd surely be fighting to keep it going on the West End?
I agree, I'd love to see some new shows. Especially for that stretch of the Strand lol.

Congratulations to Theatre Fan for the scoop back in February. Not really, he took that from Gary Barlows public comments on a cruise ship podcast

Not all his info, but a lot. And if not this board it situations like this and taken from other public sources rather than his own contacts in the industry

I follow Theatre Fan on social media and to be fair, most of his predictions are accurate.
I have even met him on more that one occasion.
However last week, or the week before, he broke to announcement about a project which I was aware of and had posted on my Facebook back in August last year!

Could this go to the Shaftesbury now that Doubtfire has set its closing? Or is it not happening at all anymore? I really enjoyed it on Broadway.

It's been a while since that rumour and we've had no further info about it at all, so your guess is as good as mine. A lot of shows could go to the Shaftesbury now.

I wouldn’t hold your breath. Theres very little chance a theatre owner giving over their house for this show above all the others trying to get a theatre.

Do I recall reading somewhere that Jamie Wilson has a 10 year agreement to programme the Shaftesbury? Anyone know what shows he has on his books at the moment?

Assuming it'll be Burlesque or Just For One Day (although I know the planned Toronto production may delay that...)

Yes Jamie Wilson has first refusal for x number of years (I think it's 10) so would make sense for JFOD to go in...
