I went to see this yesterday (see the toilet thread) and really enjoyed. The main gimmick is that a Palestinian based actress will appear live via Skype and on the first preview this didn't work and had to be pre-recorded but it is such a strong play that it doesn't really need such a gimmick, though I think it is an interesting way of getting past visa/Equity rules.
Six actors take on a variety of roles and screens tell us what year it is set but it becomes clear that overtime that in 68 years very little has changed for Palestians and Israelis. It feels disjointed and unfinished but it becomes clear that the situation in Israel is very disjointed and unfinished. I did question whether I needed to know more than the basics of the conflict but I never felt lost during the 1hr 45mins and it was very slick for a first preview in such a small space.
I mainly booked for the gorgeous Mateo Oxley, who I had only seen in Shock Treatment and not only does he get down to his pants but proves himself to be a very strong dramatic actor.
