Seems strange to me that they’re going to be promoting Joseph on BGT, but they won’t include the actor playing him in the performance. Surely they’d want all the main cast members getting exposure? They’re the names being used to plug the BGT appearance. Given the Narrator and Pharaoh don’t have much business in the show of course it’ll feature more cast. It’s too good a promotional opportunity not to.

Sheridan actually said on her This Morning interview that she’s playing the Narrator and “lots of other parts” in a “new twist” so that’s definitely happening. God help us 🤣

Sheridan playing other parts, kids as the brothers (despite Joseph being the youngest...), re-using the set from Snow White, this production is definitely Joseph on a budget. Is Kenwright involved??

It's hardly on a budget if the salary whispers are true.

I'm not sure if I like the idea of half the brothers being kids. And ya didny believe me.

She’s by far the lead performer and it’s a massive sing if sung as originally written for a female narrator. It was a much easier sing for a man in its very early days, but to say the Narrator has little business in the show is inaccurate.

I believe the original poster meant that the Narrator and Pharaoh don't have much business together, opposite each other.

It's hardly on a budget if the salary whispers are true. And that is where the budget has gone and why there on cutbacks on everything else. I hope she's worth it. Mind you, i'm sure Jason isn't doing badly either.

The Narrator narrates the scene where Joseph becomes a server in Jacob's house, Jacob is there, Ms. Potiphar grabs Joseph and does her little dance before Mr. Potiphar comes in and Joseph is jailed. Tell me how she can possibly play all those parts at the same time.

Presumably they already have an answer to that question, because it's unlikely the production team are going to say "OK, we've cast all the characters. Could someone go fetch a copy of the script so we can see what we have to do with them?"

I'm pretty sure the Sphinx didn't sing in the Bible too, so there's some artistic license here.

I'm so intrigued (and a bit worried) with the talk of this new interpretation...anyone have any idea whether they are likely to do a lottery/rush tickets for it? Not sure whether to book now or leave it to a few days before as I usually do - I can see by seat plans it's not sold out most dates.

The Palladium production brings back so many great memories for me, seeing it many times, just buzzing with joy after every visit, even if the mega mix does go on for too long... You thought the stage door was bad at Wicked? The Jason Donovan days were madness..... And the AMAZING Linzi, belting her head off every night, in that beaded bolero jacket, with that fabulous short hair crop.... Good Times! I missed out on the original joseph, now nabbed a ticket in the gods! Looking forward in this visit, been a while since at the palladium!

Joseph is youngest, how can children play his brothers? It makes no sense Benjamen is the youngest. Ah, so Benjamin can be played by a child but none of the others

I really despair sometimes with the theatre board in that so many people are so negative about shows before they even open. It's almost as if people want to see shows fail. You would think it would be the opposite with theatre fans. I just hope that casts dont read all the negative stuff on here as it would be a real kick in the teeth for them after all the hard work they have put in to it. I can understand when a show has opened but sometimes its months away and it's being "knocked". My belief is to reserve judgement until its opened and I've seen it for myself. A prime example was 42nd Street. If you read the early comments when it was first announced there was so much negativity and it turned out to be one of the most loved shows amongst forum members. Any rant over and I'm going to have a cup of cammomile.

Disagree these are major changes and to me makes it appear "The Sheridan Show" rather than the original.
I am going to be in London in August and might have gotten tickets but with this description ad the prices I will give it a pass.
