I'm currently whizzing through a recording of Lee Mead from 2007 and being reminded of just how much loincloth action there is. In light of this, someone call Richard Fleeshman's people NOW No call back Lee Mead. |

My Mum will be very happy with Mr Mead reprising his role... I still remember the day we went to London to see him only to find out at the box office that he wasn’t on - I thought Mum was about to kill someone! |

My Mum will be very happy with Mr Mead reprising his role... I still remember the day we went to London to see him only to find out at the box office that he wasn’t on - I thought Mum was about to kill someone! That's always rough when that happens...especially when you are travelling from far like Wales. |

I’m more likely to be the next Joseph than Harry Styles! I can’t see anyway in which this could interest him- he’s hosting the MET Gala & working on a second album & who knows how many other commitments that we don’t know about- even if he wanted to, I would be very surprised if he could find time for this production. Not to mention, this really wouldn’t fit too well with the image he’s seemingly trying to create for himself, it’s not “cool” enough.
I’d put my money on somebody like Olly Murs now I think.

I'm not sure Olly Murs would be that interested to be honest. His career is doing pretty well as it is. I suspect this will be like the panto all over again, aiming high but ending up with people a lot lower down their list.

A theatre mole this morning told me that Jason Donovan will play the Pharoh!!! Joseph has already been cast. Isn’t Jason Donovan the Pharaoh? You did mention that yourself a few weeks ago, but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else, so don't know. I still haven't booked for this - I was in two minds as I have wonderful memories of the 1991 production, but I think it will have to be an exciting Narrator or Joseph that convince me to pay those prices. Or day seats. |
