Great news. Finally a fresh new production of Evita. The Kenwright production seems aged.

Wow. It's been a dream of mine for a while that Jamie Lloyd would start tackling the 70's/80's mega-musicals in his own inimitable fashion.
However, hasn't the market for Evita been saturated somewhat? THe Kenwright tour has had two West End runs in the past 5 years...

So is it Evita? Because nobody on the other thread predicted it so I am a little unsure

It feels like somebody should have had some insider knowledge on what this musical was going to be but nobody mentioned it if they did. Most odd.

This is great news. And somewhat out of the blue (for me anyway). What they did with JCS was insane so imagine this will also be something special.
Evita deserves something better than the Kenwright tour.
They’re clearly realising the value of ALW/Rice currently. Joseph at the open air 2020?!
Between this and JCS at the Barbs, gonna be an expensive Summer.

Great news. Finally a fresh new production of Evita. The Kenwright production seems aged. What specifically don’t you like about the BK production?

Great news. Finally a fresh new production of Evita. The Kenwright production seems aged. What specifically don’t you like about the BK production? It just looks very dated now in 2018 in terms of sets and costumes. There isn't anything wrong with it, but I feel after over 10 years both on the road and 2 stints in town, the show could warrant a fresh production. I know there's the expression "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" but I think Evita is a show that deserves some investment.

Nice and easy priority booking today. All sorted. Saved the entire membership fee and more in one booking, thank goodness. Fairly pricey, same as Superstar last year. They only guarantee prices are held until 15th May, now, too, so book early is probably wise. Good tip, thanks. I'm liking the look of this, but will need to do some planning around it, which I normally leave until the last minute. I am ever so slightly nervous as it was chucking it down at the last open air concert I went to, but that was in Glasgow, so I really should have known better. *Checks long-range weather forecast*

Wonder if there's any chance of getting Tina Arena over for it, following her current triumph in the Australian tour of the Prince production?
She's not a big name, but a name nonetheless.

I saw her in Notre Dame de Paris and didn't think much of her acting. Mind you that show was terrible. She sang beautifully though

I always thought her name must have been a hopeful stage name, but i looked her up today and it turns out that her parents just have a good sense of humour.
