Having seen that BOM was doing a 4 week stint in Liverpool, holding off purchasing a ticket until a few days ago paid off as I was able to bag one of the single seat offer tickets for the front stalls for last nights show for £21. Having last seen BOM on tour back in 2019, it was great to have a revisit. Connor Pierson as Elder Cunningham was still the standout for me as he was in 2019. His comicial performance was just as funny last night as he was previously and along with Aviva Tulley as Nabulungi in their rendition of "Baptize Me" was the standout song of the evening.

Anyone think this could indicate the end of the London run? No. it is selling very well. Agreed! I always struggle to get rush tickets for this. I don't think it'll be closing any time soon. Very excited for the tour!! Will be great to see even more new actors in these roles. |

Cast announced for the new UK tour. Looks excellent. Some returning people, some transferring from London, some new. No one transferring from the US productions that I can see. thebookofmormonmusical.com/manchester/show/Tom Bales will be an excellent McKinley. Kirk Patterson is always an excellent Mafala Hatimbi. They've loaded up with this year's ArtsEd graduates as well. Very glad for Hayden Cable. And nice to see Jessica Oppong from Mountview too, who has a real presence and charm about her. There are others I could mention, but they've done well to get a suitably camp cast all around. Not sure where I'll catch the tour, but I'll certainly make the effort at some point. |

Saw this last week, absolutely hilarious. Yes it's on the line, over the line but what a great performance by all. The two leads were fantastic and Sam Glen was superb as Cunningham. The other mormons were also amazing and the swing, mormon, on was brilliant, think it was elliot.The whole show was uplifting and the orchestration filled the theatre. Can't wait to see it again.

Excellent performance this evening in Edinburgh, but good grief, the Playhouse security are determined to ruin the whole thing.
Massive queue to get in, turned out this was because they were not only checking bags but going WAY overboard. Asking women to remove their purses from bags so that they could see into them better, insisting people pour out their drinks, and even worse, wanting to know what was in everyone's pockets and actually patting people down. Put a really bad taste in my mouth to be treated like a criminal just to go to the theatre. The place also stank of weed so the checks couldn't be helping all that much.

Edinburgh has historically been a venue with quite a rowdy crowd - if you look at the news from when Bat Out of Hell was on there were cases of FOH staff getting assaulted for just doing their jobs.
It's just baffling as across town at the Festival Theatre there are rarely/never any issues with audience conduct and very minimal security. What is it specificially at the Playhouse that causes such problems?
