Glad they’ve printed that understudy list in cover order rather than the dreaded alphabetical, makes so much more sense.

Llandyll. That's a cool name. How do you pronounce it?

Bonnie stepping out of those plants may be my favourite photo of all time. You can't beat Bonnie in a bush!

It's hard to describe how to pronounce "ll"; if you try saying "hl" (the H and the L at the same time), it's fairly close? should help if you've got a couple of minutes spare. Other than that, Welsh is a very phonetic language (so once you've got the hang of what the letters mean then there aren't any surprises left) and Y is generally pronounced as kind of an "uh" sound, so "Llandyll" would be "Hlan-duhl" (more or less, it's kind of a disaster the way I've written it, but if you ever manage to identify me in a theatre, I'll be happy to say it out loud for you.....).

And then once you've grasped Llandyll, you can move onto Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
Bonne chance!

My friend was along the strand at around 3:30 (right when we both found out we’d lost the all about eve online lottery) and he was able to get me a front row dayseat for this evening!

So I was sceptical of the London production of this, having seen the Original Broadway production about 10 years ago. However, I thought it was great - lots of fun, great principle cast and it was a good production.
Two standouts for me: Natalie McQueen!!! Amazing. Just, stunning as Doralee. Bonnie Langford - her number is one of the highlights of the show! It’s show stealing and the audience loved it.
Was very impressed by Amber, especially her vocals during Get Out and Stay Out. Brian was great as Hart, very funny when he was “hanging around”. And kudos to Caroline Sheen for stepping into that role, very good and I loved her especially in “One of the Boys”.
Shine Like The Sun - possibly one of my favourite act one finales ever and it didn’t disappoint here. In fact I’d go again just for this number! The score as a whole is really strong, although I’m quite familiar with it now having listened to it for years.
One negative - the Dolly videos, dear god they are cringe. Also the “what happened next” bit for the characters at the end didn’t quite work and was all a bit random.
Front row dayseat was a great view, stage is no where near as high as it was for Dreamgirls, so much so you can pretty much see the floor of the whole stage (if ur 6ft 1 like me!). As others have said, this show is guilty pleasure through and through.

My friend picked me up the last front row dayseat at around 3:30 so nice and quiet at the moment it seems. The show was sold out though!

Well. Caroline Sheen should be working for Ocado because she always delivers here. You'd never know that she stepped in at the last minute and if you're sensible, you should go and see it before Louise comes back because if you don't, I can't imagine (a) Louise playing the role and (b) playing it anywhere near as well as Caroline. 'One of the Boys' is probably THE highlight of the show alongside Bonnie's big number. If the producers know what's good for them, they'll quietly find a way to get rid of Louise and keep Caroline.
I LOVED it, it's broad, it plays for laughs, it's as shallow as a really shallow thing and is just there to entertain and that's no bad thing. Where else in London's glitzy West End would you get to see an erection centre stage in the opening number? Yes you heard me. The other standout is Bonnie Langford. OMGay, she's sensational and if I'm that supple at her age I'll be a happy man. Hell, if I was as supple as her at MY age I'd be a happy man! Her big first act number absolutely stops the show and I can safely say that I've seen far more of Bonnie Langford than I ever thought I would back when she was screaming her way through 'Doctor Who'! Oh my.
I know that everyone is going to go crazy for Natalie McQueen as that's the obvious thing to do, people love her because she's playing Dolly but I thought she was way too awkward in the first act, almost like she was concentrating too hard on her Dolly impression than anything else but she did seem to settle in the second half (she looks sensational in the second act). Brian Conley is also fabulous and anyone who loved Alvin Stardust will find much to enjoy in his performance. The scene before the end of the first act is imprinted on my brain no matter how hard I try to get rid of it. There's also a really rather lovely performance from Christopher Jordan Marshall too which probably won't get much of a mention so giving him a "shout out" as Alan Freeman would have once said.
The score is very Dolly so if you don't like that, you won't love it and you also get a bit of La Parton throughout the show. I adore her personally so I won't hear a bad word said against her.
Olivier nominations for Conley and Langford please and oh, stay around for a bit until the curtain comes down in the interval.

What a review @ryan. You have banished any scepticism I had about this, and made me want to see it. And God knows, we could all do with a hefty dollop of fun vibes and escapism at the mo.

In my experience of the Savoy, they accept both. I'd take cash with you just in case they have changed policy or if their is any issues with card or whatever haha.

Saw the three ladies on BBC Breakfast this morning and made me think I really would like to see this show ASAP!
Probably covered elsewhere (though I can't find it) - is this a completely new production? Or is it the same as the most recent tour? If the former is it by the same creative team as the tour or new people? Cheers.
Keeping everything crossed for a cast recording. Though no doubt as usual with London shows (the recent Sondheim fest aside) hoping for that is a highway to nowhere.

I'd consider it a new production. It has all new sets, costumes, a new song and diologue changes from what I've heard so it's not the touring version just put into the West End.
