Is there a show with any less buzz than this? Tickets sales are at an all-time low! Looks like it's the next Spring Awakening, or Drowsy Chaperone- a Broadway transfer that dies on arrival (yes, I know S.A. had a successful tryout in Hammersmith) I'm concerned this will be gone before a year is out if it doesn't pick up business soon.

With a huge barn-like theatre that is the Adelphi, and a lack of inspired casting, this show will die a death here.
I feel like CFA will be more successful, both with critics and audiences.

Those who haven't seen the news today, Waitress and The Theatre Café have announced a pie partnership.
"It is announced today that Waitress will partner with The Theatre Café, London’s first ever theatre-themed coffee shop, which will be making and selling delicious fresh pies each night at the show. Audience members will be able to buy the famous Waitress pie jars in apple crumble, chocolate salted caramel or banoffee at the Adelphi Theatre when the show begins preview performances on 8 February. The Waitress pie jars were originally created by Cute As Cake of New York"

The main issue with this show is that a pie for brits is a steak and kidney! I saw the show last Easter and it’s sweet, vanilla, a show about affairs and boring sadly. It’s too American and sadly I don’t see it lasting long in the West End either. If Memphis didn’t last - and that was AMAZING!!! I wish them luck but...... I think the critics will hate it and it doensnt have a mass appeal unfortunately like Dreamgirls did.

Pies in jars?
What's wrong with a nice foil casing?
Although that does remind me, I booked the offer where you got a free pie with your ticket so I might get to sample one of these for myself. I'm more excited about that than the actual show ☺

Just because we have savoury pies doesn't mean we don't also have sweet pies! How hilariously weird, to suggest otherwise!

You can't beat a nice rhubarb pie either.

I'm going to buy every single available variety of pie jar and I'm going to spend the second act gorging myself on pie and quietly weeping. In the front row. It's going to be HELLA DIGNIFIED.

Ooh I’m glad you’ve said this. Happy to see they’re using the same recipe as cute as cake in NYC. How many pies is it socially acceptable to buy in one visit? One of each flavour at least I think? Asking for a friend.

I'm a little sad now, I did a quick google and apparently you can get key lime pie jars on Broadway. I would just buy three of those and hang the other flavours if they had that in the West End.

Are they gonna do the whole scent the theatre like a pie shop like they apparently do on Broadway?

Very sad reading this board to discover Waitress isn't selling well here or creating any buzz to speak of. Saw it on Broadway last year with Katherine no less and absolutely loved it! Sara's versions of the songs remain to this day some of my most played on Apple music and I've been eagerly awaiting its transfer. Cant really argue with most of the points made as to why it won't catch on here but even so I think its a brilliant show. To think some are saying it'll be gone before years end is a real shame! xx

I don't think the producers have even really made an active effort to build buzz for this. The casting is kind of one note, nothing too exciting that would get the public in, and the film isn't known here so alot of the public really have no idea about the show or what it is about. And with love to Sara, and believe me, I do love her, but she isn't really known here at all other than a couple of hits about a decade ago. I really hope business picks up and the producers put the active effort into it.
