I have to say I didnt really enjoy her in Heathers but I've not seen her in anything else and so have an open mind.

T'Shan Williams has got a great soaring voice, but I think the Heathers score did't love her voice! I'll be interested in seeing what people make of this. If she gets some good reviews I'll go catch it a Birmingham.
My favourite book, film and musical. I remember finishing the book for the first time in my English class, about 15 years old, in floods of tears. I bloody love this story and hoping this production does it some justice.
Do will think it will see further life, maybe in London? Birmingham is a miles for me!

Seeing it in Brum.Hope it is selling well and generates some terrific reviews.Kinda thought it might have gone to the Rep as the Hippo usually does the mega-musicals like Wicked and Les Mis,but what do I know?

The reason it's gone to Hippodrome is because they are co producing it with Curve Leicester. It's their first steps into producing shows.
Anyone thinking of going and can make Leicester, i posted above Curve are offering £10 tickets for under 26's, if that applies to anyone. I don't believe that applies to Birmingham, just Curve.

Video of some of the cast BTS at the shoot and clips of them singing. I'd probably just say by the clip that T'shan maybe needs to work on I'm Here a little bit but they have a full rehearsal process to go so i'm sure she will.
I'm excited.

Watched this earlier. Thought she was pretty impressive but lacked a little control but presumably she'll tighten it up in rehearsals.

You can't help but do it and then when something sounds different to her version you are instantly a bit unsure but you definitely have to try and separate her take on the role and that production to what we will be getting here. I really do think both T'shan and the production will be great.

^We live in Brum and the beauty of the WE is that you can hit a number of musicals by doing two in a day and getting the very late train home or staying over and doing four in two days etc.People travelling out of London to the regions would have to plan travel more carefully and obvs have a limited choice of shows within a given area.Do have to say that it is much,much cheaper to do shows in London like this because of all the wonderful deals.Tickets at the Hippo for the biggies like Les Mis can be extortionately priced and often sell out very quickly.As for TCP I reckon it might be seen as a bit of a niche show,maybe? However,we are looking forward to seeing it and will report back as and when.

Whats the likelihood of this running offers or discounting?
Some of the performances are really quite sparsely sold. Fridays/Saturdays are ok but some afternoons and early week performances look pretty poor.

I don't know about Birmingham but i've not really known Curve do many discounts. Though they already have done some for certain groups such as under 25's and the like. Sometimes they do a kind of like day seat thing but only once or twice to my knowledge over the years.

Ah ok, Shame. Don't qualify for any youth-type benefits.
Will probably have to miss this sadly. 3hour travel time each way (either train or car) becomes prohibitively expensive.
