I've never seen the show so don't know how it's portrayed in the musical but in the film Mary Roberts is a quiet person who then has an amazing and massive voice...now a massive voice is not what Diana Vickers has so that would seem a miscast. Lucie Jones though does have some pipes!!

The article in the standard said that they had been cast to understudy and play other roles... So I presume one of them is the alternate Delores

Misha Bryan for alternate Deloris? Oh God no, please. Delors is supposed to be fun. Misha B scowled her way through the X Factor and was completely charmless if I remember correctly. If if this is going to be full of Z-list wannabes I'm going to be hugely embarrassed as I'm taking a group of seven based on my recommendation from the last tour. DO NOT FAIL ME REVEL-HORWOOD Speaking of CRH a friend of mine met him on a cruise (ship) the other week and she said he was an absolute sweetie. Had a selfie with him and the lot.

Interesting. A white Eddie, that'll be a first for me.
Pleased to see Aaron Lee Lambert back after seeing him in London. Thrilled Allison Harding will be in it - it wouldn't be the same without her. I assume she'll be understudying Mary Laz as usual.
Rosemary Ashe will be interesting to see.
Slightly more enthused to see this now. I'll definitely book one of the matinees too.

Yes, I thought it was odd that they've cast a white Eddie. As has been discussed before, not many of the roles actually specify race, but you definitely come to expect it, given the past casting choices. The cast does look very good though (and I do love Jon Robyns as a performer!), and it's coming to the Alex in Brum on my birthday, so I'll probably treat myself to a ticket.

Jaymz Denning was second cover Eddie before. It doesn't matter at all it's just a surprise after they've always cast it that way before.

I don't recognise anyone from the x factor unless they were ones kicked off early.

So my heart has just sunk, Craig Revel Horwood has just announced that the cast will be playing the instruments ala Sweeney Todd with Patti and Michael. Including Alexandra playing piano and possibly percussion. I am slightly dreading this.

Yikes.
I'm sure it'll be fine, at least it'll be interesting to see something so different from the London production.

Oh hell. It's going to be ridiculous having a load of nuns who can't sing, all being fantastic musicians.
