Carolyn Maitland had uploaded 2 videos of her singing from Wonderland. Seriously want to see her as both Alice and the Hatter as she smashes these songs! She's taken the videos down  ((((( |

Carolyn is no longer in the show. I'm not saying why because it's not my information to share but she won't be doing the show anymore.

Rachel Wooding is playing Alice at the dates that Kerry isn't! Might have to travel to York after Sunderland to see her do the role. Still no new alternate though |

Still hasn't been announced who is doing Belfast, Dublin or Derry yet...really got my hopes up with Rachael Wooding for Belfast until I noticed Belfast wasn't mentioned in her press release.

One wonders if Carolyn left to pursue other projects (hopefully this is the case - I loved her in Miss Saigon) or whether she got into trouble with producers for releasing those video clips? I did think that releasing them herself was quite unusual for someone cast as an alternate. I suspect others in the cast disapproved. It's a pity she's no longer involved as I think she would have been good in both roles. And what a job it would have been - 4 shows a week at least and playing two different principal roles. How often does that kind of thing happen? A shame she has gone.

I just hope Carolyn's non-involvement in the production is of good, and not bad reason - whether this be personal or professional and she'll have something bigger and better coming up in 2017 in place of this.

I remember seeing Rachel Wooding (sp?) in Evita a while back. She sang it fairly well, but I thought she was girlish throughout and didn't make the transition to president's wife tbh. I would much rather see Kerry.

Sunderland has not sold that well at all. I would be very mad to buy a tickets and then they're on offer for a tenner.

So sad that this doesn't seem to be selling well in Birmingham either. Rows and rows of seats unsold for most evenings. Such a shame - I have tickets for one of the 'fuller' evenings, but still not great.
Has this show ever been staged anywhere in Europe? Countries like Germany and Austria often have huge budget productions of Wildhorn musicals. I remember that Jekyll and Hyde in Vienna a few years ago was truly spectacular staging - easily rivalling West End and Broadway standards.

Oddly enough Wonderland hasn't made it to Germany/Austria yet which is a surprise considering everything he churns out is usually put on somewhere and celebrated by his fans like the second coming. Except for Jekyll & Hyde and the abysmal Rudolf in Vienna (which was a flop) none of his shows were "huge budget productions" though, only done at local/regional subsidized theatres or as summer open air.
