I remember was couple of years ago the principal elphba left suddenly I can’t remember her name and was Replaced with Laura does anyone know what happened It was Nikki Bentley, I believe she was struggling with mental health issues at the time, she goes into more depth about it in an Instagram post from last year. From listening to audios, she has a fantastic voice and I’d love to see her return in the future if she feels up to it. |

Lucie has been off quite a bit, but I don't begrudge this at all. Elphaba is a tough role, and I would much rather Lucie be off several times a week and be able to deliver healthy performances for her full contract.
Amy Webb has been missing a lot of shows also, but that's her own business and I'm sure there is a good reason for it.
It's great to see Laura and Nicola get multiple chances to perform as Elphaba. It really does highlight how talented a company there is that they can keep the show moving between illness, covid absences and any other behind the scenes issues.

I don't know how busy it is these days as the big sign is still there telling people not to come to the stage door.
Therefore, I am guessing, it's mainly a small bunch of super fans who seem to be at stage door most days.

Self indulgent tangent time. A friend of mine covered and played Phantom about 8 times almost two decades ago now. He was second cover and those were his only performances in about three years. He was taken aback by some of the stage door behaviour in THAT show. He went back to his usual track and was very grateful for it.

Yep, I definitely have. (I’m looking at you Miriam! 🤣) but I feel that lots has changed. The powers that be do appear to be looking after Lucie at least, so that we get one and two day absences rather than a knackered voice and never working again. Again, I would recommend that anyone doubting the voracity of singing Elphaba, read ‘Unnaturally Green’ by Felicia Ricci. Funny you should say that, it's sat on top of my to read list! Get it read! It’s fantastic. |

I believe both Cynthia and Ariana did meet recently though, they were both in LDN at the same time I’m sure! .. ( Gaga was also fab.. sadly no Kylie too as the rumours had stated. Imagine that,,) |

It seems like a Wicked lottery at the moment in London, with the different understudies for Elphaba getting to perform so much!
Seeing the show next month I'm having my fingers crossed that Lucie will be on however!

Started twenty mins late at matinee due to probs with roof leaks exposed by thunderstorms and then cancelled at the interval.London fire brigade in attendance.Not sure if evening show went ahead?

I think it can be really hard to tell sometimes with the green makeup and also Laura and Lucy have quite similar facial features in my opinion. |

Heading to London tomorrow, with my first trip to Wicked since 2018 booked for Thursday night!
Incredibly excited to see the show after such a long time, with my fingers crossed that Lucie will be on.
I'll be sure to post a review for those who might like to read it!
