Show cancelled this afternoon due to a burst water pipe in Victoria area. Not sure if curtain went up but I’m guessing it did since the announcement has only just been made. Update still to come about tonight’s show. Shame for Idriss on his last day. Seen on Twitter the show started an hour late. So who knows how far into Act1 they got |

The afternoon show didn't start at all. It was cancelled, but people had to wait around until after half three to be told this by staff.

That was part of the problem.
Announcements that the bars were open.
No announcements what was going on when the show delay.

Saw the show this evening. Still don't get the fuss about it, but at least I managed the second half. I went with my youngest daughter and she enjoyed it, so perhaps 8 year olds are the target age group.

It was a comment highlighting that my eight year old daughter enjoyed it whereas I didn't. Nothing more, nothing less. |

I'd hasten to add, she reeled off a host of non-infantile shows that she has seen and preferred more... (A Christmas Carol, Harry Potter, Local Hero, Phantom, JCS).

I wonder how many Elphaba shows Laura is up to now, she much is closing in on 200 with the almost 2 months worth of shows she's been on for this fall.

I'm sure she had her 200th show not long back. Her shows this week were for Nikki's scheduled holiday dates.

Her shows this week were for Nikki's scheduled holiday dates. Nikki was scheduled to be off between Thursday - Saturday, however I believe she was also off on Tuesday and Wednesday. |

Just booked a coach tour to this and sold all the tickets in record time...it is so beloved (I avoided saying popular)...a phenomenally successful show whatever the cast and now over 10 million viewers have seen it according to the London website.

It will run for a very long time. The Apollo Victoria is such a barn, and so out the way that very few other shows would want it, and if Wicked keeps doing enough business to turn a profit then it will keep going. |
