I thought Fiyero was great acting-wise but weak vocally.

I thought Fiyero was great acting-wise but weak vocally. For Sophie it’s the opposite. Didn’t realise she was the youngest ever Glinda anywhere not just London

Absolutely insane performance tonight!
The atmosphere was sensational and Alice Fearn was on top form, The Wizard and I, Defying Gravity and No Good Deed were all simply incredible.
What an amazing cast its been and I feel very lucky to have been there tonight and to have seen this cast a few times.

Also not sure about Fiyero, seemed to have a weak voice. Maybe he was unwell . I’m ALAYM he cracked really badly. He seemed to struggle That's pretty standard, unfortunately.

The whole cast were brilliant last night I thought and went out with a bang.
Despite my love for the show I really need to do a detox. The tour is over, my first Elphaba and Glinda have now left, and I can’t afford to get to London much next year.

^Why does every comment have to have some kind of agenda or hidden motive behind it? Used ALAYM in a concert about a year ago and the experienced pair who sang it for me had to work v hard to get it right,I recall,so perhaps it’s a stinker to sing? Any ideas?

^Why does every comment have to have some kind of agenda or hidden motive behind it?” It doesn’t. It was a question regarding a specific comment that a specific person had made as previously detailed. Should I have referenced the author, publisher etc?

It's the way it swoops across the mezzo soprano range I think - very similar to Another Suitcase in Another Hall from Evita, which is another deceptively difficult song to sing.

The way Sophie sang 'die alone' at the matinee yesterday like Louise Dearman is gorgeous - I wish she had always done that.

Anyone there tonight ? How was it ? Must be into 10 visits to Wicked in the last 5 years and this was one of the very best in the boiling heat...Nikki Bentley and Helen Woolf were having a blast. They wont be everyones cup of tea which is the norm for Wicked but for me its more of what worked so very well on the tour. It felt fresh and full of energy...I will be going again...Soon!
