They had so much talent on that stage and totally wasted the opportunity to do something amazing. Not even one single song. Like a group version of For Good wouldn't even take an afternoon to rehearse.

Going to echo what others have said regarding lack of special performance at the end. They had so many talented people, they could've done literally anything, one song, and it would've been great. A bit of a wasted opportunity.
Rachel was absolutely on fire, probably one of the most impressive vocal performances I've ever seen, and I've seen her before. I've just listened back to DG, and on her last note she just casually belts up to the high F for a few seconds before bringing the house down.
Mathers was also really good I thought, bit of a disappointing Morrible though.
I had fun. But a song at the end would've made the night.

Would love to know what Rachel meant by there being surprises tonight...only surprise I got was the ensemble member smashing the lightbulb.

So did anyone meet a fellow theater boarder tonight before/after the show? No, but I swear Miranda Richardson walked past me in the lobby!

Could you share it please?

I'm not a producer, so I'm not going to pretend I could have organised this better. But nothing? Not one single song? Am I the only one that finds it slightly embarrassing to bring all these incredibly talented performers on stage just to have them stand there doing nothing? I imagine it's not too difficult to get even a handful of former cast members to rehearse just one song?

Are you really that surprised? I'm not, I don't know what everyone was expecting. I would have loved to have been there though.

I feel like London has had more of a fuss made out of its 10th anniversary than Broadway did anyway.

I presume by "surprises" Rachel meant all the returning cast plus Stephen Schwartz. Plenty of people filmed the curtain call (including onstage!) but most of the names Rachel and Suzie read out were drowned out by the cheers from the audience, so I don't think any of the audios will have been particularly good quality! Ushers were cracking down on people attempting to take photos or videos during the show so if anyone managed to get a decent one I'd be surprised!
Yes, the curtain call was a bit of a letdown, but what a phenomenal show! Rachel is still trying to get rid of her American twang in places, but it was so good to hear that Northern Irish accent come through again, and in fact come through a lot more than she used to let it! She's changed a lot of her acting choices from the last time I saw her (which was on Broadway earlier this year), and her Elphaba is angrier in the first act than she used to be, and there's more light and shade - she made some really good acting choices. Vocally, I thought she was phenomenal tonight - certainly the best vocal I've ever heard her, or probably any Elphaba, give. Her No Good Deed was brilliant as ever, but her Defying Gravity was just outstanding - I'd be surprised if I ever hear that song sung better. I know I'm biased as she's my favourite Elphaba, but she outdid even my high expectations tonight. And I think the audience reaction to her entrance was the loudest and longest I've ever heard!
I loved Suzie's Glinda, she's right up there with Sarah Earnshaw and Louise as my favourite ever. What a stunning voice she has. Oliver was a great Fiyero and I liked Mark as the Wizard. I wasn't sold on Idriss as Boq, but tonight was probably the best I've ever seen Katie play Nessa. I quite liked Anita Dobson's Madam Morrible, though occasionally her lines got a bit lost - either the sound is just poor up in the circle or quite a few people were not miked very well, Rachel and Suzie included at times! I was a bit disappointed in the ensemble - maybe it was just me not being used to the sound quality in the circle, but they sounded very thin to me and the ends of lines kept getting lost. The principals more than made up for it though!
The audience was generally pretty well behaved - huge reaction to entrances and the big songs in the circle, and in the stalls too from what I could hear, and a pretty much universal instant standing ovation for Rachel at the end of Defying Gravity and for the whole cast at the end. Everyone got a free poster and there were a couple of brochures for sale but they didn't have anything particularly earth-shattering in them so I didn't bother - I'm happy with my souvenir ticket! Didn't bother with the scrum at stage door, though it didn't look as busy as it was on Kerry's last night, but I presume everyone would have been heading to the after-party anyway so there probably wouldn't have been a lot of autograph signing.
I've got such a huge smile on my face, it was a wonderful evening! Now to book Rachel's last and think about dayseating some time in between for some decent seats - the other discovery from tonight (aside from Rachel still being on form) is that I hate sitting in the Circle!

Are you really that surprised? I'm not, I don't know what everyone was expecting. I would have loved to have been there though. I can't say I'm surprised, because as much as I love Wicked, this is just how they seem to do things. But I am disappointed that they didn't do anything. I can't use the word "expect", but for a 10th anniversary you hope they at least do something. I doesn't have to be a Les Mis or Phantom style quartet, quintet or mashup. But it's just unbelievable that they do nothing at all. That being said, I wasn't there so I shouldn't complain too much. At least it alleviates the pain of missing this event.

I am going to file tonight under the category of "wasted opportunity".
All those incredible performers and.... nothing.
What a waste. That would have got social media far more than "look! There's some old cast members standing and waving on a stage".
Today took me back to the old days. Amazing performers. Lovely folk. The days when social media was 'run' by the standbys. There were no bloggers or z Listers in in sight.
Today we have an official twitter account run by a PR firm who need sheets of photos so they can identify past cast members!
A firm who think people think "wow. A z lister is at a show. I am going to book tickets". People don't. We also don't want to read endless re tweets from z listers of what a wonderful time they had (if I got free tickets I'd tweet I had a wonderful time too....)
Take me back to those days because modern life is rubbish!

So did anyone meet a fellow theater boarder tonight before/after the show? Pretty certain I did. (Row W, you were sat with my two friends perhaps? I was a few rows ahead.) Ended up going after all, hobbling up the steps to the back of the dress circle was a mission. I'll regret going for the pain it's caused me but I'd have regretted missing it more than that, so...

I was a bit disappointed in the ensemble - maybe it was just me not being used to the sound quality in the circle, but they sounded very thin to me and the ends of lines kept getting lost. The principals more than made up for it though! I've noticed the sound thing before. I saw the show 4 times so far. Twice from the front row stalls, once a bit further back in the stalls and once from the circle. The 2 times I sat front row the sound was brilliant, the two other times the sound was disappointing. Those two times were late in the previous cast's run so I thought maybe they were a bit bored. Then I saw the new cast from the front row and it sounded amazing, with very energetic ensemble. But now that I read your comment I think it really is a matter of how close you are to the stage. I feel like Wicked in London is also fairly quiet compared to other shows. Miss Saigon, Phantom and Les Mis almost blew my eardrums, at Wicked I was left wondering whether or not the ensemble's mics were on when I was seated a bit further back.

I don't think it was a OMG THE BEST EVER performance by a long way.
I wanted to fast forward to the "surprises" at the end. Erm...
Also hated not being able to see performers expressions or, well, see anything at all really.

Thank you, Andrew. Sounding epic, but the audience kind of ruined it by cheering during the song... You can hardly hear the best notes

Recording the show? Very bad form.
It was a great night. Fab cast... although not sure about Anita Dobson's very panto performance. Smashing lights (literally) and non-unfolding banners. The sound mix was very clear from my (3r row) seat, if a bit keyboard heavy from the orchestra. I would like a version of "Food Good" where past cast members take a line each, but I believe of a lot of them arrived very close to curtain up, so no real rehearsal time.
