(also, to the person who will say "I want a fresh Elphaba, just go see Rachel on Broadway" ... are you made of money?) Totally agree. Am not made of money, but saved my backside off and am going next weekend to see her.

I would absolutely /love/ for Rachel to come over again, even if just for a couple of months for the 10th. She was my first Elphaba and to see her again would be like the most perfect thing (also, to the person who will say "I want a fresh Elphaba, just go see Rachel on Broadway" ... are you made of money?) Yeah, someone said that to me a while ago. I really want to see Rachel as Elphaba. I never got the chance to see her when she did it in London and can't afford to go to New York.

although am disappointed for Alyssa Fox- would have thought that when her and Carrie were brought over from the tour that she'd get lead once the position was vacant

At least that's what I'm hoping, otherwise if it were me I'd be a little insulted haha.

Same here! But I do think it's great for Jen, a case of always the bridesmaid and never the bride so to speak when it came to Elphaba on Broadway anyway. Thoroughly deserved for her hard work and incredible talent!

Can I ask, when is the 10th anniversary "event" supposedly happening?

the official "10 year" date would be 27th September 2016 (which is a Tuesday this year) but who knows if it will actually be celebrated fully on that date, and if there will be any special at all!

I hope they finally record a West End cast album. Maybe a live recording like Miss Saigon and Kinky Boots did

Anyone knows for how long? Will Jenny be doing a full contract (aren't those usually nine months on Broadway?), or will it be just a short stint? I would absolutely /love/ for Rachel to come over again, even if just for a couple of months for the 10th. She was my first Elphaba and to see her again would be like the most perfect thing I for one would be really disappointed if Rachel returned to London. She was also my first Elphaba, but it's time for her to move on. And, tbh, I was somewhat underwhelmed when I saw her on Broadway. (also, to the person who will say "I want a fresh Elphaba, just go see Rachel on Broadway" ... are you made of money?) I did say this before, and I will say it again. And re the money part: Some of us work for a living...

And re the money part: Some of us work for a living... Some of us are students. Also, some people who work still can't afford to spend a few thousand dollars on a trip to New York

Just Rachel returning would be exciting enough. But who knows, maybe we could get Gina Beck as Glinda again. It's possible, with showboat closing at the end of August But I think it's unlikely that they'll bring back two former leads.

All I'm expecting is a balloon drop, a speech from Michael McCabe and a few former cast members come out at curtain call, like Kerry Ellis came out at the 5th anniversary. I really don't think the 10th anniversary of the 2nd longest running Wicked production will impact casting decisions. I'm just glad Jackie Hughes is going off on the tour so that they don't put her into London (she's great but most fans have already seen her).
