And Natalie McQueen is Nessa! Sounds like a swing-tactic show! Is it me or does this always seem to happen with Emma is on holiday? Can Natalie A not cope with a full week? Ms Hatton has only had three days off..... 16-18 May! Optimist in me hopes it's an audition show for Laura to get bumped up as Standby permanently! #castchange

Laura Emmitt is on for Elphaba at both shows today! She's an amazing Elphie And Natalie McQueen is Nessa! Sounds like a swing-tactic show! Well, actually Natalie isn't a swing She's in the ensemble

Well, seeing that Natalie is on for Nessa tonight, she's probably the only one who can play Nessa tonight as she's 2nd understudy Nessa. They wouldn't have her go on as Nessa if the first understudy wasn't indisposed as well

She really deserves to play the role more frequently because I think that out of the 4 current London Elphies, she's the best hands down.

But I was more meaning that there will be a swing covering Natalie's ensemble track and if Lauren is out then a swing will be covering her track too... they're also a swing-girl down with Laura covering Elphaba! #swingtastic

I'm pretty sure she has done full weeks before. But Emma seems to be off so often that there's bound to be some times when Natalie A is off as well.

Someone posted the cast board from tonight's show on Twitter and Lauren was listed in the cast, so even more hopeful they used the chance to get Natalie into the chair and let Laua go on the broom as a cast change option!

Hannah Toy and Rosie Fletcher covered four tracks between them tonight, I think at some point during the show they both did at least one element of each track, as Steph Parry, Lauren James Ray, Freya Field and Natalie McQueen were out of the ensemble. Some changes to the show, only two monkeys at the beginning of No One Mourns the Wicked and two flatheads in One Short Day due to ensemble shortages. Billy Mitchell did Natalie McQueen's track in No One Mourns the Wicked as Rosie Fletcher was Midwife and Hannah Toy was alternating between Lauren and Freya. No "fellow faculty member" in Dear Old Shiz. Was weird to see a seven female bow during curtain call instead of the usual nine.

Natalie A has been covering for Emma quite a bit and Nat also did a full week and half worth of Elphie shows only a few weeks ago. Unless this is a set date for Laura to be Elphie like last time. With Bank holiday week coming up and extra shows

It wasn't planned, Laura said at stage door she only discovered she'd be going on as Elphaba at both shows at 1.15pm. Hayley Gallivan was drafted in as emergency standby, although I think Michelle Pentecost is surely their first port of call, at such short notice Hayley Gallivan was geographically closer.

Wow 1:15pm isn't a lot of notice for a matinee! I was there for Laura's first show and chatted before stage door and I think the call came in at 11:30am! At least Emma is back today so normal service should be resumed on the broom....

Which Makes me think Natalie A went in and was told by management to go home. It happened before with both Nat and Emma

Yeah, Michelle came in as emergency standby when Laura had her scheduled show a while ago

I think the timing for this works better in terms of Rachel doing a London return than if she'd left in June as originally stated.
Everything crossed.
And thrilled for Jenny, she's a knockout. But slightly was hoping for someone new entirely to the show - just to give it some new life

I would absolutely /love/ for Rachel to come over again, even if just for a couple of months for the 10th. She was my first Elphaba and to see her again would be like the most perfect thing
(also, to the person who will say "I want a fresh Elphaba, just go see Rachel on Broadway" ... are you made of money?)
