Casting has been announced for the Royal Albert Hall's production of Guys and Dolls which plays three performances at the iconic venue in October.
The semi-staged production – directed and choreographed by Stephen Mear – will star Adrian Lester as Sky Masterson, Jason Manford as Nathan Detroit and Meow Meow as Miss Adelaide.
Clive Rowe will reprise his Olivier Award-winning performance as Nicely Nicely Johnson with Joe Stilgoe as Benny Southstreet.
No casting for Sarah Brown yet and can’t say I’m too excited for Jason Manford but I, sure he’ll be alright, I presume it will be in tv too.

Personally this is a yawn fest- I'm not a fan of Guys and Dolls hugely, it's been done to death in London recently and I'm bored of really pricey 'semi staged' productions.... Give me full staged productions at full prices and of other works, not G&D again and again....

OMGosh. Meow Meow will be amazeballs as Miss Adelaide. And generally her hair is so big that you'll be able to spot her from any seat in the RAH.

Lara Pulver will be playing Sarah Brown, Sharon D Clarke will be General Cartwright, Paul Nicholas will be Arvide Abernathy and, intriguingly, Stephen Mangan of all people will be the narrator of all things.
The cast will also include Stephane Anelli, Dan Burton, Cory English, Julian Forsyth, Nia Jermin, Alexis Owen Hobbs, Sévan Stephan, Matthew Whennell-Clark, Davide Fienauri, Stevie Hutchinson, Ross McLaren, Ebony Molina, Jo Morris, Cris Penfold, Jak Skelly, Rachel Stanley and Alexandra Waite-Roberts.

Sharon D Clarke will be wasted in this. As far as I remember General Cartwright is a very small role with no solo number.
I always find stuff at the RAH expensive - especially as it is totally unsuited as venue to musical theatre - and there seem to be very few discounts.
