A strange status ‘not yet on sale’ for a production that was never meant for general sale.
The list only appeared this week as have been clicking the book tickets tab whenever I went on the NT site out of curiosity.
Cannot see them being available on general sale here unless drip fed and you are lucky to browse at that instant as you would get a mad scrum which they were trying to avoid for even fewer tickets.

Without logging in, if you go to 'select your own seat' or 'best available' for some dates like this one www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/tickets/14242 then the error message is 'not available' whereas if you try it for others like this one www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/tickets/14208 then the error message is that it's sold out. I don't know if this reflects some difference in the underlying availability but hopefully it does. Edit: I don't know if it makes a difference, but that's checking on mobile

So, there are still tickets available that can be bought online at some point (question is when and by who). On one random date I looked at there are 9+ seats available at three price levels, for example. Another had maybe ten to twenty in total. The story that it is sold out appears to not exactly be true. EDIT: a midweek matinee has five price bands, adding up to forty plus seats unsold!

Well it’s past 6pm so I guess I haven’t been lucky in the Entry Pass ballot...
If anyone here has been and needs a +1, you know who to call 😉

A colleague of mine just 'won' the ballot today after initially losing. Anyone else?

They've just announced extra tickets and automatically entered the past losers into a new ballot. Whoop. We won. Go check your emails. Good luck everyone.
edit: Just seen that @queertheatre beat me to the news.

Unfortunately no joy on the 2nd ballot for me either. Oh well never mind, plenty of other things to go and watch.

was this ballot only for under 25 ? Definitely not under 25! I don't understand then. I looked at the NT site and that ballot was for the under 25 (apparently) unless people entered the ballot regardless of their age.. but they will check IDs

The second, that run recently in January, was for Entry Pass members only - who must be 16-25 and provide proof of age when they collect tickets.

And he is not under 25. That's why I was wondering what the deal was. I checked throughout the day and I was in the queue but never got the chance to purchase any ticket. Nothing available

I saw somewhere that she was thinking of retiring. So will this be her swan song or what?

I saw somewhere that she was thinking of retiring. So will this be her swan song or what? she was joking. That's her sense of humour

I wonder why they are doing this now. A bit odd. they won't have many tickets left for those queuing up in the morning .

So is the booking on Monday open to everyone who lost on the ballot or have just a few been emailed as I haven't had any?
