I think having the ‘giants in the sky’ is the only viable option, in fact they could probably sky lots of the bigger set pieces. They’ll find a way I’m sure.

Anyone know if the last performance of Come From Away is sold out or still to go on sale?
They seem to have disappeared from the website as soon as the closing date was announced.

The closing performance sold out when they put it on sale (when they announced the final extension). Worth checking back for returns. |

I think ITW may still fit. Whilst Bath is deeper, Phoenix does still have the width. ITW isn't that deep a stage, 'rear' projection is still technically possible (whilst allowing for active set storage) and almost half of it is played out on the thrust over the pit. They can also create additional wing space with the forced perspective of the 'Pollocks' prosc which I think may well be the plan if they intend to use the existing scrims.

Not to my knowledge, although there are probably a few excel spreadsheets belonging to PMs and techies who've done the rounds enough times to know theres merit in keeping track.
Old faithful Google here provided Bath's tech spec directly and Phoenix dimensions were listed on the Arthur Lloyd page (which I then converted from imperial to metric).
I also think if the proddy team on Woods had put a pencil on the Phoenix, knowing the scale of the production they wouldn't have done so without making sure it would fit first. They'd have known months in advance of the run in Bath what they had to fit in to make sure they could shoehorn it all in first.

Theatrefan has a rumour that CFA is set to tour in 2023
Which makes sense, it should pack up and travel quite easily!
I do love this show, it’ll be nice if more people get to see it.

It baffles me how this show is closing after only a 2 year run. Why has it never caught on here do people think? It ran longer than Dear Evan Hansen! and it's slightly longer than 2 years as it opened in January 2019 although 2 years isn't a failure, not every show can be a long runner. |

I think that 2 years is a decent enough run.
It isn’t flashy, has no special effects and gets by entirely on its charm and the strength of the material. It doesn’t help itself by not having an interval, so no bar sales to support the box office.

But Dear Evan Hansen in actuality isn't very good, it was all hype. This is actually a great show. I didn't say it was a failure, I am just shocked that such a great show hasn't caught on. |

None of my friends or family have heard of CFA to be honest, or perhaps might have seen a poster on the tube but it doesn’t really sell itself very well, unless you’ve seen it and know how brilliant it is, or are convinced enough by someone you know who loves it! I’ve not found it an easy one to entice non-regular-theatre-goers to.

It may do better on tour as people can try it locally on their doorstep without the cost and hassle of a London trip. Especially if it prices itself reasonably

2+ years for a show not based on an existing title is pretty impressive. There have been many great shows that have lasted not even half as long.

Yep, I'm assuming that will be the tour. Which will cost me an absolute fortune if it comes anywhere in a remotely reasonable distance! The only other options would probably be Not Closing After All (doesn't seem likely), or a cast recording (doesn't seem likely either, considering there aren't really any changes since the Broadway one that I can think of). And since it's also unlikely that I'm getting a personal invitation to join them onstage for a reprise of Welcome to the Rock, I'm betting on a tour.  |

For anyone going to closing night - the recently announced train strikes for 6th and 7th might affect your travel arrangements, so worth checking. I've just booked a flight instead, so it'll be either fingers crossed the tube is on to get in from Heathrow, or book a car or something. Not missing this!
However, the good news for people who live close and couldn't get a closing night ticket might be that some people who did get one may return theirs, eyes peeled I think!
