All six standbys are on today, half the main cast are off. Would have been a great show to see. I'd thought about trying to get there today a couple of weeks ago when I couldn't get to Edinburgh coz of train line works, but today's shows were already sold out then.

Catching this next week in Wimbledon, can't recall when I last saw a touring production sell so well there (and other tour stops as well?).
With this getting toward the end of the initial tour and only 7 stops left, any word on a future life after 5th Jan?

With the West End production of Come From Away having closed 18 months after more than 1,000 performances, it is wonderful that this incredible piece of musical theatre has returned to a London stage - albeit, a little bit further out in the leafy south-west suburb of Wimbledon.
Some shows seem to lose something when leaving a West End house for the often cavernous auditoriums out on national tours - not Come From Away. If anything, this intimate show grows to fit the size of the theatre it is being performed in.
It really is the ultimate ensemble piece and, while it would be unfair to single anyone out, Natasha J Barnes plays local television reporter Janice with humanity and humour, while Sara Poyzer gives a touching performance as pilot Beverley, culminating with the stunningly biographical ‘Me and the Sky’.
But the beauty of Come From Away is in how it ties these strangers’ stories together, as the people of Gander opened up their homes, lives and ultimately hearts to thousands of scared strangers - or ‘come from aways’. It touches on loss, discrimination and gives us a small insight into how real hope emerged from the most awful of circumstances.
This production is a replica of what was seen at London’s Phoenix Theatre and the only thing missing is the revolve, meaning Nick and Diane’s moment during ‘Stop the World’ is a little more static than previously seen. However, it is still an absolute knockout of a show that builds momentum all the way through - how lucky we are to have it back in London, even if just for one week.
Back again tomorrow, can’t wait. Five stars.

Are there any rumours of this touring after Salford or making its way back to London? It seems to have sold incredibly well…Wimbledon has nearly fully sold out with just a few seats remaining. Chichester sold out almost on the day it went on sale and even at the Mayflower the balcony was open on weekend performances.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see it back as a filler sometime.

Just out of this afternoon’s performance. Nothing to add other than that this show completely blows my mind and is the epitome of what musical theatre such a beautiful medium to tell stories.
Come From Away is a masterclass is how to pull at the thread of every single human emotion in 140 minutes. Pure joy.
And, to this day, it remains the most instantaneous standing ovation I’ve ever seen in any theatre (five times). Stunning, absolutely stunning. And who doesn’t love a Friday matinee?!
Bring it back!

Anybody got a Wimbledon sat evening ticket going spare? Just spotted a few seats released on ATG for tonight and tomorrow matinee/evening. High end of prices though!

Any chance that this could fill in a few empty weeks somewhere between shows in the W/E? I could watch it forever…

Caught the show this afternoon in Norwich - as fantastic as I remembered it from the times I saw it in London. It truly is a beautiful show.

Another great show last night in Canterbury, despite the show stop. A really fantastic cast and slick show!

Does anyone know if there are any plans for the show to continue after the UK tour ends? I'm hoping it'll return to London at some point.

Saw the tour in Canterbury yesterday afternoon and the show still was touching and heart warming as the West End.
A well deserved standing ovation at the end of the show by all, everyone played their roles well and the live band were exquisite. People definitely left the theatre with a bit more kindness!
Pleased to see a great selection of merch on sale, I got the socks that I didn't get on the West End so was very happy!
It made me want to see the show again so currently looking at other places I can get to and this highly deserves to be back on the West End.

I saw it at Chichester yesterday and loved it. Strangely enough, when I first saw on TV an extract of it at the Olivier Awards (IIRC) I didn't care for the music or staging. It was only people raving about it, including people on here, that persuaded me to see it. I booked 2 hours after the CFT site was open to the public and literally had the last ticket for the Saturday matinee. Full standing ovation at the end and people praising it as they left. It was so crowded in the foyer that I headed straight for my seat and I forgot to look whether merchandise was on sale.

Saw this last night in Milton Keynes. What an absolutely stunning production. Spent the whole 100 mins either smiling, laughing or crying. The whole cast were just a joy. The audience as well all incredibly well behaved, mainly because I think they were all also equally captivated, so although people sat next to me with mountains of popcorn and snacks (which had be worried) they didn't touch them the whole time.

I caught the tour in MK on Friday night and fell in love with this show all over again. Its the first time id sat and watched it since the final W.E. performance. This cast are smashing it out the park and really brought a new feel to some of the characters that worked so nicely. I found I didn't miss the revolve thanks to the clever movement changes which was a surprise as moments such as the Dover fault relied on it originally. So hoping this finds a 2nd life somewhere as its such an uplifting piece

Just seen a post from The Lowry that some of the actual Newfoundlanders came over from Gander last night to surprise the cast on opening night.

Yeah. We were there. Quite a few of them there. Enjoyed the show. First time for us but didn't wow either of us and we've seen hundreds of shows. Never mind..each to their own. Good performances though.

Saw it this afternoon. Lovely show but as benny20 says above I wasn’t completely blown away ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me. 42 Balloons is better imo. Having said that, I’m listening to the OBC now, after being very pessimistic about the folksy music style. I liked it. Natasha J Barnes wasn’t on I don’t think.
