For anyone considering the day seats, they're a bargain at £20 but the stage is HIGH - I wouldn't sit here for my first time, but its great if you're already familiar with the show - I loved it. You don't see many peoples feet - certainly not toward the back of the stage. I arrived at 8.30 with coffee and breakfast in hand for box office opening at 10am, but by the time it opened, there were only 7 of us in the queue so we could have had a lie in!! A little tip - you can get a booster cushion from the ushers which helps quite a bit. You still don't see feet at the back of the stage but it does make a difference to the short!

Well I've just seen the matinee this afternoon and I've been totally blown away. I got a rush ticket on Todaytix as Im in London and had a free afternoon, I'd not heard any of the songs except Welcome to the Rock and only knew the basic premise of the show. I loved it! I laughed, I cried and now I need to go back!!

Leaving London after seeing the evening performance of CFA, tonight we had 3 standbys: Chiara Baronti as Beulah and others, Jennifer Tierney as Beverley and others, and, Ricardo Castro as Bob and others.
Everyone smashed it! Can't wait to be back at the rock knocking back the screech and kissing the cod!
Well done everyone! #IAmAnIslander 💙💛

Has anyone listened the the CD "Come From Away The Covers"? I found it interesting but not a patch on the cast recording.

Just seen a post that apparently tonight's performance was cancelled due to technical difficulties. Was anyone off here at the theatre tonight and got any more news?

I was there The show hadn't started by about 7:45 (band were on stage) and a lady stood at the front of the stalls and announced they were having technical difficulties and there would be a delay. She came out again about 10 mins later (on stage this time) and said it would be another 10 minutes. Then the band started leaving the stage one by one until they'd all gone, then the violinst came back on stage and tried to subtly pack her instrument back into its case and left again. The lady came back on again and said they hadn't been able to resolve the technical difficulties and the show was cancelled, contact point of purchase etc. There was a bit of a grumble but no one around me seemed particularly angry, just disappointed. Theatre must have made a fortune on all of the extra drinks bought whilst waiting! Absolutely gutted as we'd come specifically to see the show, but I know they must have done all they could. Nice that they got an earlier finish, anyway!

Would they still get paid? What are the rules around this?

TICKETS FOR SALE - Friday 22nd October, 7.30pm
I have two great stalls seats to sell - Row J. Current face value is £75 per ticket but as I bought during Theatre Week they are only £45 each - a bargain! Sadly I can no longer go.
Bought via TodayTix so I can transfer into your name.

Perhaps slightly off-topic, but Willemijn Verkaik is currently playing Beverley and others in a Dutch non-replica production of Come From Away
With Rachel in New York, Alice in London, and Willemijn in the Netherlands, that is all three 2017 lead Elphabas currently playing the same role in different parts of the world lol

Have signed up to Apple tv to watch this tonight, and had forgotten what a magnificent piece it was. All five of us sat absolutely rapt throughout. I find it really quite upsetting towards the end, especially the arrival of the piece of World Trade Centre in a big packing case. 😢

I agree - the World Trade Centre line gets me each time. I have to remind myself that it's an actor delivering lines in a show, but it always feels for raw and real even 20 years on.

Looking at buying tickets in TodayTix’s Boxing Day sale - where’s the best place to sit for a first timer?

Looking at buying tickets in TodayTix’s Boxing Day sale - where’s the best place to sit for a first timer? I’d say dress circle if you can, it’s a much better angle for the staging and revolve.

Looking at buying tickets in TodayTix’s Boxing Day sale - where’s the best place to sit for a first timer? I've sat in both. Leg room not brilliant in the dress circle but slightly better view.

Looking at buying tickets in TodayTix’s Boxing Day sale - where’s the best place to sit for a first timer? I much prefer the view from the dress circle. Even though legroom is awful, I'd choose there over the stalls.

That is very sad news. Although I'm intrigued by this comment in their press release: “In other parts of the world, the government has stepped up to support the commercial theatre sector by offering a financial safety net for the sector to reopen and play during the pandemic, thus protecting the tens of thousands of good jobs the sector creates. That is the case in the US, the UK and Australia – where productions of Come From Away continue to play: in the US on Broadway and on tour, in London’s West End in the UK, and in Sydney, Australia."
"But in Canada there is no such government support. And without such a safety net it is impossible for the production to take yet another extended hiatus. The costs of reopening a second time are prohibitively high and risky."

Shameful of the Canadian government if this is true, given this is one of the most successful Canadian exports of recent years. Incredibly short-sighted of them.

Saw this for a second time last night, first was just before Rachel Tucker left and the pandemic hit. Seems to be in great shape and really enjoyed, it's a lovely uplifting show despite the subject matter.
Jenna Boyd, Mark Dugdale and Alice Fearn were all standouts, Me and the Sky really is a great song.
