Dublin really loves this show. Terrific atmosphere and energy at The Abbey. Very long standing ovation last night.

I listened to the cast recording for the first time last week, and I fell in love with it. I must have listened to 'Something's Missing' hundreds of times already. So now I've booked for the first Wednesday matinee of previews at the Phoenix (only £12 for row E of the Grand which is great for my bank balance come middle of January ha) so I'm very excited to see it on stage!

Just got back from seeing this. Crying all the way to my hotel room.
How do I start? Oh my God. This is sensational, stunning. I just witnessed perfection. This is the show you all need to get tickets for! Make this show your number one priority!!! I'm serious.
From the first drum beat chills were running through my entire body. I have been listening to the BCR a lot, but seeing this, live on stage, it's something else. The choreography, the little details, every little move the actors do, the lighting.
What a cast, guys, WHAT A CAST!! Rachel Tucker, Harry Morrison, Emma Salvo, David Shannon, Cat Simmons, Jonathan Andrew Hume... And everyone else really, but those six were the standouts.
And what an audience. We were roaring after "Welcome to the Rock". And I must say the bar scene song wasn't one of my faves, but seeing it on stage totally changed my mind. It's spectacular. We all went crazy in the audience. "Something's Missing" destroyed me. I knew what was coming but I bursted into tears. Not a dry eye in the auditorium. And that finale, omg, instant standing ovation from everyone.
The theatre is lovely. I was in F11 and had a great view. Now, I don't get why there's no security at all at the door, or someone asking to see the tickets before you go in. One drunk guy was in the foyer bothering everyone and asking for money. I felt really uncomfortable.

Well on the basis of that review @eldermillan I have booked for a performance early in the run at the Phoenix. I will be going into this totally blind as I have not listened to the cast recording. Front side stalls seat for £45 - not too bad I thought given the ludicrous prices in the WE at the moment. The seat next to me is £65 and seats further towards the centre on the same row are £95!

hmmm... that seems like bad marketing. They need to get offers in early to fill the previews, because hopefully they wont need them after press night!

I think because of the audience response from Dublin, they are holding off offers because thet expect to get great reviews and word of mouth.

(to clarify that was meant to sound shady towards the marketing agency & producers, rather than you @danielhohnson14)

(to clarify that was meant to sound shady towards the marketing agency & producers, rather than you @danielhohnson14) Don't worry haha, I didn't read it as shady toward me. But I do agree, buzz takes a while to build, especially for a show like this where the general public don't know this show at all, whilst theatre fans do.

I am looking forward to seeing this next month more than I was Hamilton this time last year. I love the OBC recording more than most I've heard in the last 5 years. I hope it lives up to my expectations, but nice to read some good feedback here.

There was a huge sale on TodayTix around Black Friday for the first few weeks of previews. I picked up some front row upper circle tickets for £15, and it looked like most dates included in the offer were selling pretty well as the cheaper seats were disappearing.

I brought my ticket in the same sale and I agree, it seemed at least the cheaper tickets sold very well by the end of the sale, which I'm thrilled about. What will be the real tester, and something that will keep this show thriving, and maybe some who have already seen it can give more opinion on this, but will it get repeat viewers and a fanbase? Because Rachel will bring her fans for sure, but is the show itself the type of show that will get the fanbase coming again and again?

Obviously I can only speak for myself, but I’ve booked my second and third trips already. With a bit of luck this can certainly have mass appeal but I think will take some time to grow like Broadway.

In the spirit of the show I'm going to buy a cheap ticket to another show and hope I get diverted to the Phoenix.

This is definitely going to need brilliant reviews and more importantly good word of mouth to be a hit. Although the Phoenix isn't a large theatre for a musical with just 1000 seats. So not a large theatre to fill.

I didn't even realise this trailer was of the Dublin/London cast until I recognised Rachel! How exciting!
