Was anyone at the first preview last night or going soon? Sounds like it was great from social media and David Walliams was there!

Distinct lack of interest from the usual suspects here to this. Probably too far. Im going in the new year.

I happened to be in the theatre this morning as David Walliams was about to do a book signing after a q and a . Was chatting to a member of RSC staff who said there had been an amazing response last night. I am going in early December.

Glad to see the early buzz is good. Inevitable that this will come to town with the creatives involved?

Glad to see the early buzz is good. Inevitable that this will come to town with the creatives involved? That will certainly be the RSC's expectation. Press night is i think 27th.

This has earworms, made me cry/laugh/scream and I was first on my feet at end. Emotional gut wwrenching brilliance. Not going to come off this cloud nine for this one.

Good to hear positive feedback given the extent to which the RSC seem to have bet the house on it!

I am really intrigued by this. I've even contemplated doing a day trip I'll be doing that in the new year. Very cheap advance rail fares on Chiltern Trains from London Marylebone, can be as low as £12.80 return to see a matinee or early evening performance at Stratford on Avon booked just a couple of days in advance, even less with a railcard.

Chiltern are always good value, still surprises me so few people use on the Birmingham/London route.

Saw this tonight and ADORED it. Got a Billy Elliot meets Matilda vibe to it. Really clever staging that provides lots of laughs. Strong cast, particularly impressed by Toby (Dennis) and Tabitha (Lisa)- huge talents at a young age.
Utter joy, audience lept to their feet at the end. Would love to see it again and catch some of the alternate leads. 5 stars from me!
Ps- fingers crossed for a cast recording!

This girl is amazing! Cynthia Erivo vibes!!! Doubt I'll get to catch this at the RSC, but looks extremely likely to head to London.

I sincerely hope someone was in watching it or it would be very tragic.

Loved loved loved this, but they need to sort the Raj character before going to London. He’s far too stereotypical, especially with the song about the prices. The actor is wonderful, but no. Fix it. Everything else is great.
