Why is the main guy missing shows already?
A friend of mine went tonight and said he was off again.
Is he truly hoping to emulate Alex Brightmans shocking attendance record in London?
My friends comments were basically it's good but better on Broadway. Thought the alternate was good but some of the kids were not very good. And Priya Kalidas gives a really screechy annoying performance

The guy looked happy to be there, and, if anything, was focusing on his chord playing intently, so as to give a great performance. Looked all good from here.

Any more feedback about day seats? Hoping to get a day seat for this Saturday night, won't arrive at the theatre until 10am.

LOL. Well, it was a pretty full auditorium. I did walk down there to have a look at the staircase handrails (don't think they are much of a problem), so maybe we all just need bigger badges  . Theatre Forum Hi-Vis vests? |

I was wearing one... In fact, it caused a problem as it was all I remembered to wear... I mean, thinking about it, the clue should have been the pain when I pinned it on... Lesson learned. Seriously, though, I was in central M of the stalls and didn't spot other badges either. Monkey - I am surprised you could pin a badge on, I mean all that fur. |

The handrails do cause a bit of obstruction in places, but no more so than the school desks to those in the side blocks of row A definitely and I'd hazard a guess at a couple rows back. However since my seat was a £20 day seat I am not doing it complain about it. |

I was really looking forward to this but found it dire. Left at the interval, which seemed an interminably long time coming. Far too one-note: just 90 minutes of people yelling, screeching and running and jumping about, but no actual music.

^wrong decision imo. Although I loved it, I thought act 1 was slightly long yes, but I think act 2 is much better.

I can understand you saying that with the benefit of having seen both parts, but I had no way of knowing whether the second half would even be different, let alone better, and it wasn't (thank goodness) the sort of show at which people were wandering in and out during the performance, so it was either escape at the interval or be stuck for the duration. At least I don't know what I missed! |

But when you're seeing a new show, you never know if Act 2 will be better or worse anyway, much less if Act 1 is any good, so why not stick it out? You already paid for the whole thing.

Thinking of going along tomorrow. What are the seats in the front section towards the sides like? E28 is available for £45 but it's on the very end of the row. Any ideas?

As for the audience being of "particularly low calibre", I found the opposite: I genuinely thought at the time that they were unusually pleasant and well-behaved; also that the FOH staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and welcoming, which must have an impact on audience behaviour. I certainly neither saw nor heard anything to complain of; if anything, I'd say the atmosphere was rapt yet enthusiastic. |
