I think they don't want to announce cast as the kids are the stars and want to avoid that. Rehearsal have started, a friend is second cover Mullins so it is all cast etc, so think they must be holding back the info for a reason.

Broadway tends to leave cast change announcements much later than London. If we have an actor coming over from there, it makes sense that we haven't heard anything yet.

I have no intel, but if it is Alex, it would make sense they're waiting if they also haven't finalized who's replacing him here. That's not until November, so that may explain why they're dragging their heels.

Heard from a friend that there's a press launch tomorrow, I think they said. So I'd be surprised if casting wasn't announced then

Does the fact they are plastering his face all over the theatre suggest that it will indeed be him coming over to play the role? I mean there must be branding they could do that doesn't feature a particular actor, it's rather specific.

For years old cast members photos were used as Promo posters for We Will Rock You, it's not totally uncommon especially before a show opens, I guess.

Now if this was Wicked, I'm sure there would be people camping outside the venue to spy on people going in to work out who was in the cast before any announcement.
