That must be West End, surely?! It's not going back out on tour (yet)...I guess it could be USA/Australia/somewhere else, but with Cameron vocally saying he wants it back in the West End... Now where could it go...Piccadilly is definitely free after Annie so that would be logical, although equally he could have booked Drury Lane/Dominion based on 42nd/AAIP not lasting, but I would've thought they'd be hoping for an early closure and getting in before Christmas if it was going to be these venues? I think it would actually do well at the Picc. It's a big enough theatre to take the show, but it's not an absolute barn like Drury Lane or the Dominion so not as many tickets to shift. Exciting times on Cherry Tree Lane!! |

My first musical this was. I was beyond moved when I saw this on tour in Birmingham - it was as good as when I saw it in London.
Please can we have this back. I pray this is the news....

Hopefully we'll hear before too long! 2018 could be any time not to mention 42nd Street is currently only booking until July, I could see 42nd Street extend until January 2018 then Poppins takes over Spring 2018. |

It has one of the biggest stages in the country. Certainly bigger than 90% of it's other venues. |

Exciting times I'm sure... but Andrew Wright didn't choreograph the current MP production. I'm sure if it was coming to the West End Stephen Mear and Matthew Bourne will be recreating their choreography. Perhaps Me Wright is going to do it elsewhere?

There's a ton of flying space, and with the closed Upper Circle she has somewhere to land too. Lots of seats to fill but a limited run could do well. |

Hope so, it would be nice to see Mary Poppins back and in a small-ish theatre. It would really make the magic seem more spectacular and focused up upon. I haven't seen this production but I'm guessing as it's a touring production it may lack some of the machinery and infrastructure used in the original, which I did see. So, maybe it would benefit from a smaller theatre, logistics provided, even though it could realistically sell well in a large space on name alone.

It fit into the theatre royal Newcastle which is quite small and similar to the Noel coward
