Thanks so much for the tip, got mine!
Surprised they haven't renamed them the £19.50 seats in association with TheatreBoard.

I never saw forbidden broadway- will this be similar, just renamed ‘spamilton’ or is is all hamilton with a touch other broadway realated bits in it?

I've booked :-) So excited for this (possibly more than actual Hamilton!)

I've booked :-) So excited for this (possibly more than actual Hamilton!) Be excited. I enjoyed it more than Hamilton! Think it is enjoyable to those who have seen and have yet to see Hamilton - some knowledge of the music/CD definitely would help. Some very funny appearances by other Broadway composers - and grandes dames of the stage.

If it hasn't changed much from when I saw it off-Broadway, it's more the latter. There's a "diva" character who does various old-school Forbidden Broadway impressions.

Must resist the urge to listen again

Sophie-Louise Dann... now I'm interested! And don't forget Damian Humbley. They were both in the last 2 productions of Forbidden Broadway and are brilliant.

I'm gknna go out on a limb and guess this will do a Forbidden Broadway and transfer to the West End for a limited run, if anything to fill a theatre for anshort time considering so many are availible come January!

They should advertise it as "If you can't get a ticket for HamIlton or can't afford £200 go see Spamilton and watch them taking the p**s out of it".

I have started flicking through the Edinburgh fringe guide and spotted two Hamilton spinoffs. I suspect I will find more as I plod on.
I didn’t really enjoy Hamilton so I’m not tempted by any Hamilton cash cows (says me who is reading and posting on this thread)

With the cast announcement this morning, those £19.50 tickets now look like great value.

This just feels like a lazy summer filler for the Menier to me. You Tube is awash with Hamilton spoofs and personally I’m already over the gags (and Hamilton itself actually having been somewhat underwhelmed by the London production). I loved Forbidden Broadway when I first saw it off Broadway, but subsequent productions have felt very samey and rather hit and miss. It’s a shame the Menier haven’t tried something a little more adventurous for this year’s summer slot.

Well I'm glad they decided to do this as I was tempted by the NYC production but couldn't bring myself to waste a show slot on it. Gags on YouTube aren't quite the same.

No, I wasn’t saying gags on You Tube were the same. What I meant is that the Hamilton has already become a well worn subject for satire ( check out the Edinburgh Festival programme) and in my humble opinion, satire-wise it’s getting a bit stale. Of course I may be wrong, but judging from the clips of the show I’ve seen on You Tube ( The Schuyler Puppets/ I want to be in the film when it happens), it just made me feel weary. I’m sure The Menier will do well out of it, but to me it doesn’t seem like very inspired or creative summer programming.

I guess but this coming from the Forbidden Broadway team and being endorsed by LMM etc. is gonna be of more interest than any of the other spoofs.
