Is there a set Donna alternate day for this? Fluctuates - was a Sunday but now they're back to a Mon-Sat schedule I THINK Mazz has gone with a Tuesday as her day off.

My mum loved the casting show last year, Stevie in particularly, so I'm taking her to London from Friday 22nd-Sunday 24th next month. Does anyone know which show out Friday evening, Saturday matinee and Saturday evening has the highest likelihood of having Stevie, Tobias and Mazz all on?

Does anyone know which show out Friday evening, Saturday matinee and Saturday evening has the highest likelihood of having Stevie, Tobias and Mazz all on? I would guess that Saturday evening has the best chance of them all being on (illnesses notwithstanding), then Friday evenings (which I think would be a very busy night). Matinees are always a bit of a risk for seeing understudies.

25th anniversary performance booked. This will probably be my last visit to this show but couldn’t resist. Voyage in the afternoon and then this in the evening so a proper Abba day to mark both anniversaries.

On ABBA day a bump for this as it celebrates 25 years of world wide musical domination! Also apparently becomes the 3rd longest running west end musical. The evening show starting 10 minutes earlier tonight would seem to be the one with guests, returning cast but hopefully the matinee will have some special moments today as well. While now its assumed anything with the abba logo will make money this was a risky move at the time and no one would have predicted the monumental success it has become. On waterloo eurovision win day the mego mix energy in the theatre should be fantastic. Hope some other board members are seeing it today (along with voyage )

I thought it was interesting that in the recent WOS article they mention Mamma Mia broke box office records at the Novello in February, so it's still going strong.
It's a great musical, one of my favourites and 'go to' to out a smile on my face. The best of the jukebox shows

Great tonight at the Novello, free drinks, pin badges and programmes for alll, an audience filled with ex cast members and the creative team. The early start was due to a short “history of Mamma Mia” film, then the show and finished with speeches from Mass Murray, Judy Cramer, Catherine Johnson and finally a very touching speech from Bjorn Ulvaeus. Fantastic atmosphere in the theatre. A special night.

Was in for the matinee today and although nothing ‘special’ for the 25th it was utterly joyful. Great Entertainment!

Apparently the show cost £3m to produce back in 1999 which for the time must have been a lot of money but clearly it's paid off for Judy Craymer, Benny and Bjorn plus Universal.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at contract negotiations for Mazz Murray and to see the finished document. Keeping someone so world class in the same show for such a long time is no mean feat.

Three million wasn't a huge budget even twenty five years ago, and there were no star names attached to bump up the costs. Judy Craymer was taking a huge risk with a show that few people believed would succeed, but it paid off big time.

I think it's out of print but in the Mamma Mia! book, Judy said she wanted either the Piccadilly or the Prince of Wales and when she and her fellow producers went to Cameron, he offered them the Prince Edward which was a lot bigger than either theatre.

Piccadilly was the graveyard of so many new musicals that she probably had a lucky escape despite the Prince Edward being a barn.

Shows in great shape. I won the lottery they have for the 25th anniversary and paid £25 for the front row at the matinee. I’m glad I finally got to see Mazz in the role because she was off last time I went and she didn’t disappoint. Absolutely one of the best vocals in the West End, you’d never know she’d been doing this role for such a long time.
Pure fun from start to finish. And absolutely packed. This one shows no sign of slowing down.

So glad to see no signs of slowing down. The joy this show brings to its audience is unmatched.

Who’s your friend? Give her some more appreciation 😀 The stunningly brilliantly gorgeous Kate Graham :-) She's absolutely brilliant in this! Her Tanya and Nicola-Dawn Brook's Rosie have had me in stitches the few times I've seen them. They've somehow managed to elevate a show I didn't think I could love more! And Mazz seems to be having the time of her life performing with them.

They are a brilliant bunch and are huge buddies in real life, which shines through on stage. Kate is a grafter, ever since Sixth Form. From the Producers, Billy Elliott, Come From Away…. She’s worked tirelessly… and is also a great teacher too.

I don't know about Mazz, but I remember reading somewhere a while back that Stevie and Tobias only had contracts up until November.

Think Tobias is going in to Book of Mormon - at least according to my daughter but no idea where she got that info
