I personally think When the tour Kicked off, that this made the west end lose ticket sales.

Quite pleased now I booked for the 21st when I heard it was Rebel & Simon's last date. I do love a last "night" (it being a Sunday afternoon).

What?! I bought a ticket yesterday for Sept 7. If you've already booked, you'll be able to claim a refund or exchange. Sad this show is closing - what's going to go to the Phoenix for 4 months is a big question? I'd love to see The Deep Blue Sea, but that won't happen as its still at the NT when G&D closes

Do we think the cast departing on the 14th might extend for a week?

Do we think the cast departing on the 14th might extend for a week? I would've thought so. It seems pointless bringing in new cast members for one week. If they don't agree to extend them I'm sure either understudies will take over or some tour cast will be drafted in

I'm surprised it is giving such short notice of closing. The theatre surely won't go dark for the entire Autumn and Winter?

I thought it was announced weeks ago it was closing?
Sad to see as I really have enjoyed watching this show.

I contacted LoveTheatre.com customer service since I had a ticket for September, and they told me it's closing in January.

I contacted LoveTheatre.com customer service since I had a ticket for September, and they told me it's closing in January. It's an absolute mess really. ATG are still tweeting as if it's going on till January, and saying that the venue think it's on till January. Yet people at Phoenix box office and ushers are under the impression it closes 21st August. Cast members tweeting about closure too. The producers really need to issue a statement and an announcement, if only so those who have tickets post 21st August can rearrange to see the show if they want in order not to miss out.

Sounds like it might be getting the Singin in the Rain treatment with the international tour. At least this version of the show isn't disappearing completely.

Tickets are still for sale past August 21 on the ATG link from the show's own website. They need to get their act together!

Well the ATG website is still selling tickets for the original run - I just test tried a booking for next January and it is still going through.

would Half a Sixpence squeeze in there, or is that already allocated?

would Half a Sixpence squeeze in there, or is that already allocated? I suppose it could, it's from CFT and Guys and Dolls followed Gypsy into ATG Savoy. But then Sixpence is Delfont Mackintosh so the Noel Coward would be a better bet.

I thought Mark Shenton said that Half a Sixpence is going in to the Noel Coward?

Baz mentioned in his column on July 15 that Chichester's Ross might go into the Phoenix if Guys and Doll's should finish with Rebel's last day.

Have they taken the website down? I can't find it and the link from the BBC (when Rebel started I think) goes straight to the booking page. I was trying to see the rest of the cast

I was trying to see the rest of the cast Website is, as you say, re-directed to the ATG booking page - maybe while they update it to reflect the early closure. Seems a bit drastic to take it down completely nearly 3 weeks before they shutter.

I'd like to see The Deep Blue Sea transfer, but I think that'd only be possibly if the theatre was empty for 4 weeks and Blue Sea went there either the end of Sept or beginning of Oct. Seems unlikely
