I have no idea how this slipped my radar but it looks phenomenal, Cillian Murphy, Enda Walsh and Complicite taking on this heartbreakingly beautiful book - what a total dream. It’s opening in Galway right now, anyone going to see it? Barbican are listed as a co-producer so fingers crossed it ends up there.

After being severely burnt by Ballyturk it would take a lot to convince me to watch a Murphy/ Walsh play again.

I liked Ballyturk well enough but I hated Lazarus so passionately that I don't think I can ever trust Enda Walsh again.

Maybe monkey but I'd be more inclined to call it a load of old twaddle 😀
I actually loved Lazarus, I let Bowie and Michael C. Hall override my concerns about Walsh and, for me, it paid off.

I may have been the only member desperately excited for this (Walsh and Murphy for me is a perfect match - I've seen all their collaborations multiple times). I tried to get tickets for Dublin but missed out even though I was in the queue when booking opened. Still - it's coming to London and Oxford next year so will have to wait until then.

I will admit, I'm more enthusiastic than I was yesterday, thanks to the photos I've seen that heavily feature crows (one of my favourite birds) and the fact it's (probably) coming to Oxford, which is a nice little trip for me.

Definitely not the only one! I couldn't be more excited! Huge fan of both Enda and Cillian! Was waiting for this to transfer but when they announced NY thought London is out of the question.. so happy I was wrong! Tjis play seems intimate so Barbican wouldn't be the first and obvious option but hey ho...

I’ve taken out a Barbican membership because of this. Have been on the fence about doing it for a while, this pushed me over the edge.

I find having a Barbican membership to be well worth it @happysooz. The films on a Sunday morning for £6, free entry to exhibitions (including special members' evenings where you can bring someone with you for free), invitations to rehearsals, as well as the early booking and discounts. I reckon my membership pays for itself several times over. And yes I will be poised at my laptop when the tickets for this go on sale tomorrow week!

With this, The Damned, Medea and Ballet Black all going on sale on the same day, I'm thinking of cutting one to reduce the impact on my wallet as well as my spare time.
Did anyone see this in Ireland? From the middling reviews online and the comments here about past Walsh/Murphy productions, it's probably the one that I'm least interested in, but would be great to hear from anyone that has seen it already.

I booked for this (and The Damned) today. Hadn’t realised that Barbican membership also gives you a discount. I think I’ve recouped 50% of my membership spend already!

Booked this morning, along with Medea, The Damned, and Burning Pestle.
Thanks for the heads up on the membership discount @happysooz , with the generous discount the membership will more or less pay for itself in a year.

Can those who have booked already advise on how sold this is already? I am anxious that I will miss out as I did in Dublin and Galway for this.

If you were really anxious You could have become a member Membership is £59 pa. If you don't live in London and / or are on a low income, that's a lot to shell out for the occasional advance booking at a venue you rarely get the chance to visit.

If you add the membership plus to your basket on the website, then it'll let you see the seat availability. From some spot checks it seems like there's still a fair bit of availability. However, it's difficult to know for certain as not all seats are put on sale immediately so any greyed out seats will be a mix of 'sold already' and 'waiting until the general sale'.

I simply do not have the extra money to do so. But thank you so much for putting me in my place.

Thanks from me as well for the advice at looking at the ticket availability as I’m kneen is seeing this. Just wondering which seats are better, the ones at the edge of the upper circle or the gallery seats ? All the other seats seem quite pricey or is there a way to get good seats for a cheap price?

I'm guessing from the picture that Cillian is playing the crow?
