Evita was very... long. And with Marti Pellow mumbling his way through all of the important narration, it just seemed like the story of a woman who likes loudly proclaiming things from large platforms and takes a very long time to die.

I would love to see Evita! We're doing Eva Peron in Spanish at the moment at school and Evita seems great! I'd definitely see it if it toured again

I think that Funny Girl is a bit of a dog. Good idea and two great songs but the second half doesn't work at all. If you have a powerhouse lead you can paper over the cracks.but it's Gypsy's skinny and uninteresting little sister.

Ooer, rude d'James!
For me, the most overrated shows I've seen are Cats, Les Mis, Cats, The Bodyguard and Cats.

It's been said many times, but I'd add my vote for Cats.
and also The Lion King - the first 5 minutes are wonderful, the rest is a letdown. The film is so much better, the stage production does not do it justice.

Wicked: Enjoyed it, when I saw it with the OLC, bored to death second time round, especially in act 2.
Rent: Why not stick to the original Bohème-ending? "A leap of mooooooooooh", seriously? Same applies to Next to Normal and Spring Awakening. No need for an uplifting "there's a purple light at the end of the tunnel"-song. All three of them much stronger if you skip the last track on the CD
In the heights: To quote forbidden broadway "no fight, no bite, it's West Side Story light"
and dare I say it...
Hamilton: maybe not that overrated but definitely overhyped. we'll see what happens once the original cast has left in NYC and how it will do in the UK.

Cats Phantom Miss Saigon - I didn't get the hype with the revival. RENT - Great songs, just a predictable plot and the characters are unlikeable. Spring Awakening - not overrated as such, I just got my hopes up and when I finally saw it I came away disappointed.
