I thought that The Criterion might be a good home for it if and when Bank Robbery closes. I think it's a prime location and would benefit a lot from passing trade and become a bit of a tourist trap right there in Piccadilly Circus, especially given the subject matter and it being a short concert. That said, i do think The Arts really suits it in terms of the grungy underground vibe for a concert.

[]Oh well, I suppose I was equally selfish day seating for Wicked probably at least a dozen times back in 2007, although that did at least take a certain amount of effort (5.25am train down to London) compared to clicking on an app.. How so? Everybody dayseating had the same chance of getting a seat if they put the same effort in. This was just cheating others out of a chance...big difference. Imagine patiently queuing up to day seat then people come along last minute and push in ahead of you, meaning you get no ticket. That's what this show has become. |

But I mean why would the cast be watching the show regularly? And if they are surely they can get their own tickets? It seems wholly wrong that the few rush tickets are being taken by people actually in the show.

It really is and it has been discussed here a few pages back. I am sure the cast was aware of how immature the majority of their fanbase is and how much of an effort they put into trying to be friends with them, which makes it even worse. I hope it will finally stop. |

I meant in terms of occupying a seat that otherwise someone else would have got. I certainly never cheated at day seating: only ever bought 1 ticket per show & never saved spaces for anyone else, unless they were just nipping off to the loo for a few minutes or suchlike, which I think is acceptable. |

I've tried the last couple of days for rush tickets and haven't seen a seat pop up yet. All still are immediately sold out.

Every time I try, as soon as I go into it at 10am the seats are already in peoples baskets. I thought I'd try again this morning with the new rules in place, to see if anything changed, but it was still the same! Hopefully it might make a difference, it might not, but we'll see! |

Does the theatre not keep aside house seats for cast and crew should they wish to bring friends and family? Even for sell out productions, I would’ve thought this were a common practice, I understand they could be more limited for this venue though as it has such a small seating capacity.

The new rules mean that it won't necessarily be the same people that the get rush seats all the time (I am sure there are regulars frantically trying to find ways around that rule already) but I don't think it'll change anything in terms of the seats being straight in people's basket at 10am as there are still only 6 seats per performance (as long as the show is sold out). So who those baskets belong to might change, the speed at which the tickets will be going into them won't.

I was trying for rush tickets for Present Laughter every day for two weeks but they were gone instantly every time, I tried the cheat and I got some, it works in that it gives you a couple of seconds head start on people who haven't cheated but with something like 'Six' you're still up against everyone who knows the cheat and you're battling it out for 6 tickets! The odds even with the cheat are pretty low and I'd say without using the cheat they are are infinitesimal! They need to change the app and fix all this nonsense because it's becoming that you have to cheat in order to have any chance at rush tickets for the popular shows.

The problem was that even though I was one step ahead, I still didn't know when to press the "2 tickets" sign to actually be the first. Maybe a computer can detect the exact time and press it at the right time. Just to make it clear: I wasn't trying to get tickets with a cheat, I purchased the £19.50 ones for December. |

With just six tickets available it will always be hard as they could go to just three people, buying two each.

As far as moving to a bigger venue? Absolutely not. When a show is in the "right" venue you can't replicate that feeling or success. I disagree that it's the 'right' venue. When the show came to London, it was a tiny show from the Edinburgh fringe and it would have been crazy to go to any other theatre, because it was a complete unknown. But now that the show is a huge success, it needs to go somewhere else. I'm not saying a huge theatre, but anything is better than The Arts. If I remember correctly, it did 4 shows at the Arts staggered over 4 weeks on a Monday night, then went back to the Fringe then came back to the arts. I went to one of the first concerts and already you could feel the atmosphere was electric in those sold out concerts (I actually attended the late night one that they added due to demand.) It came in hot and with buzz from people who read about it and saw it at the Fringe in its first Cambridge University outing. So while it does seem that it just came is as a complete unknown, it had something and they decided to come back to the arts for their open ended run, that was a very smart decision. And smaller venues that are selling out keep the demand high and a hot commodity. Remember when people were hawking Hamilton tickets in New York for over $3000? |

Are you really comparing a small show like Six, in a 350 seat house, to Hamilton in a 1300 seat house?? Okay.... I still think its not the right theatre for the show, but we'll agree to disagree. |
