At the Arts Theatre for four performances only on selected Monday evenings in December and January. 18th December, 8th, 15th and 22nd January. Cannot recommend this enough. I saw the premiere of SiX during its three week run at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer and it's genuinely hilarious. Undoubtedly one of the best, freshest and most contemporary new musicals I've seen in a long time. My thoughts on SiX posted in the Edinburgh Fringe thread back in August: Running time is only 70 minutes but SiX is the sassiest musical history lesson going. Well worth a watch if you fancy a Monday evening in the company of the ultimate regal girl group!

That sounds like a fun show. Unfortunately though I won't be able to see it due to the amount of time I'm already going to be spending at the Arts Theatre in December & January. Oh well, maybe if it goes down well it'll have another run in the future.

Thanks for the tip - have snagged a ticket. Worth nothing the 'premium' tickets in red on the seating plan are in fact the same price for this one!

Good stuff. I'm curious what it sounds live because this recording seems to be heavy on the auto-tune and synth, but it seems pretty original and fresh. I would check this out if it were running longer.
Yay to original British concepts, yay for diversity. We need more of this.

Hopefully it will get a longer run in the future. The four originally announced performances have all sold out and an extra show at 10pm on 15th January is now on sale. Seems to have gone down a storm on Twitter last night but then what doesn't? "It's what would happen if Little Mix were let loose on Hamilton" was one description which sums it up pretty well!

I'm really excited to see this, intrigued by the premise of the show, sort of Hamilton mixed with Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour vibes.
Very pleased so see that its already pretty much sold out its run, and not many tickets left for its extra date, always a good sign to see that new musicals can do well (even if it is a short run!)

I wonder if this would turn out to be something like a musical version of Ladies in Waiting. This is a play that was at the Edinburgh Fringe, but which I caught in Washington DC last July. Essentially Henry VIII has died and each of his wives comes to him in turn, arguing their case finally on equal terms with him. An interesting idea, although the concept was slightly stretched by the fact that two of his wives were still alive when he died, so the ghostly reunions were a bit less easy to arrange!

Apologies if there's already a thread for this, I did have a search but couldn't seem to find anything! I just saw SIX at the Arts Theatre after hearing really good things from its run at the Edinburgh Fringe last year and they've only got one show left that has tickets available, next Monday at 10pm. I'd highly recommend seeing it if you're able to!
To sum it up - it's about the wives of Henry the 8th, the music is like a British Hamilton and it has the essence of a TV competition like X-Factor (but don't let that put you off!) and the women in this are absolutely fantastic. Would love to know if anyone on here saw it up in Edinburgh or at the Arts!

Five star rave from BritishTheatre.com from last night - "one of the strongest debuts in musical theatre that we have seen in a very long time". Interesting to read that George Stiles is involved with this professional transfer. britishtheatre.com/review-six-the-musical-arts-theatre/Excited to see where this will 'beheading' next. Hopefully we get to 'Seymour' of it in the future....

I saw it last night, the 10pm show (so late!! although this show could pull it off)
It really is as good as everyone is saying so. Some incredibly clever lyrics and songs that really was singing this morning without the aid of a cast recording to jog my memory (that hasn't happened in a while!) This show would certainly benefit from a CR it really was rather brilliant to watch!
I believe there are some tickets for next mondays 10pm show left and if you are free (and can stay awake!) go and see it. Incredibly fun, a modern twist that doesn't feel cheap.

Heading to Norwich and Cambridge in July before Edinburgh for the Fringe (at Underbelly) and then the Arts Theatre from 30th August to 23rd September. Can't wait to see this again! Edinburgh and London tickets go on sale on Thursday. The Arts run includes 4pm and 7pm shows on Sundays.

I'm really happy to hear this news.
I missed out as I only heard about it quite late on.
I think I'll definitely give this a try, I've only heard great things about it.

Heading to Norwich and Cambridge in July Kenny Wax is now going to have 3 shows at my local theatre in under 2 months, with TPTGW, MMN & now this. He almost might as well buy it!

Really enjoyed this back in January - good to hear it will have a longer life in London and beyond. If it comes anywhere near home, I may venture back again

Glad to hear this is coming back to London, by the time I heard about this show it had completely sold out last time. Wonder whether the cast will be the same? Heard a lot of good things about them together as well as the show

Having missed this show on it's very limited run in London last year I've just booked a cheap (£6!) ticket for a Sunday evening show in September, very much looking forward to it

Looks like the musical is touring after the Arts Theatre run. It's coming to the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton in November
