Oh its obvious that its fangirls voting. Its basiclaly those people who own the Hamilton Cast Recording delegating out who will vote for which song with the other fangirls. I like that Waving Through The Window is up there, maybe not top 10, but its a great song!

I could understand no entries for Toxic Avenger but nothing from Groundhog Day or Amelie? That's not right (in the words of Matilda..)

As a fan girl who voted, if Defying Gravity was going to miss out on the top spot then I’m happy it lost out to One Day More!

So for my money, I would say it is the top 100 of what is freshest in people's minds, not the top 100 of all time. Hmmm. I'm inclined to agree. I am reminded about what I sometimes think when I read on the theatremonkey website that somebody says: 'This is the best musical I have ever seen' when what they really mean is 'This is the ONLY musical I have ever seen'

With all the due respect, that top 100 list is a load of crap

That's what Top 100 lists are for: to rack up the views from people looking at them to see how crap they are.

I will say though, for people who took it seriously, the Top 10 maybe bar one or two, is fairly accurate to what I would say is a Top 10.

I agree with the Les Miserable love every song from it, except Stars, loved even more so how the critics got it so wrong.
I think there is 8 songs on there from Hamilton, 4 songs from Wicked and 2/3 songs from Dreamgirls, would this really of been in the top 100, last year? As I suspect they are just doing well through circumstance. I even disagree with the Phantom of the Opera - The Phantom of the Opera, not really a great song.
However great songs I thing should have made the cut are:
Unsettled Scores - Whistle Down the Wind Unusual Way - Nine (On this week’s Elaine Paige show, near the end, with Craig Revel Horwood sitting in) Anyone Can Whistle - Anyone Can Whistle

There are some good ones hidden in their but it's a list for the great unwashed really. The kind of tracklist you see on a double CD called 'The Best Musical Songs Like Ever In The Universe!' or such like.

I agree with maybe half of them (although not necessarily where they're placed). It's how you'd expect really. There's nothing remotely obscure on it. More of a list for the masses rather than your more dedicated musical enthusiasts 😁
