It was filmed at the Prince Edward with the London ensemble but with leads from various productions across the world. Off the top of my head they used the US tour Jasmine, Aussie Aladdin and London Genie. Sorry what? That sounds ghastly. Why not just film the one production?

That’s from her own lack of training and technique. Can’t believe she thinks she’s gonna win anything from this.

Would this happen in a west end full amplified show.
Based on the times when mics have not been on (recently Camelot) the singers voice barely reach the front row . Wouldn't the sound mixer sort out voice levels. Hard to imagine she would have to sing so loud to offset the sound system.

I think it means she had to sing louder to hear herself because he was bellowing in her lughole.
Still a silly claim.

It is very difficult to prove this sort of claim. Indeed essentially impossible to demonstrate a direct causal link.
She must have deep pockets ready to pay legal bills.
Disney won't settle this sort of claim

No chance of winning. It would set a landmark precedent. Every single performer who was in a major show and subsequently has had voice problems will be looking to sue their ex-employer. Even if they haven't, they could claim their voice "quality" was hurt by it, leading to loss of earnings from not being cast in shows afterwards.
As poster above states, Disney won't settle for the same reason as above - people will view it as an opportunity for a quick payday.
I feel bad for her and I'm sure she has a point, but it isn't a viable case for legal relief.

I wonder why she thought this lawsuit was worth ruining her career for? Surely nobody will hire her after this.
Looks like her, Seyi Oomba, and that one gal who broke her Dreamgirls contract to go on Love Island will have to start a girl group.

I've seen another report somewhere, and she said because he was taller than her he was singing right into her forehead mic (very loudly), so they couldn't just turn her voice up. Although I presume they could have mic-ed her differently? I can see why theatres wouldn't want to lose this as a test case!

This is an interview watch after reading that Are we sure she didn't just damage her voice with that peculiar singing through fixed smile technique? I'm not a singer but it looks very odd to me.

In circumstances like that, where 2 mic'ed singers are close, often sound will use just one mic. So likely sound would have used just her mic with his vocal amplified through hers off axis.

Does anyone know what happened to the filmed version of this?

She could totally take on Disney if she can prove medically that she damaged her voice together with evidence that the company manager failed to act on any concerns documented. Be interesting to see the outcome.

It’s not really the sort of thing you’d take a chance on is it? She must be quite confident of winning.

It’s Croke I feel sorry for. There’s clearly No love lost there, but it is embarrassing for him.
I don’t remember her being especially bad in it (not as bad as the original Broadway Jasmine) but Twitter has quite a few people saying how terrible she was in the show.
She can’t expect to work in musicals again after doing this.
