UK tour announced
Wed 6 – Sun 9 June OXFORD Playhouse Tue 12 – Sat 16 June LEICESTER Curve Theatre Tue 19 – Sat 23 June CAMBRIDGE Arts Theatre Tue 26 June – Sun 1 July BIRMINGHAM Patrick Studio at Birmingham Hippodrome Tue 3 – Sun 8 Jul EXETER Northcott Tue 10 – Sat 14 July CHELTENHAM Everyman Theatre Wed 18 – Sun 22 July CARDIFF New Theatre
I presume this will then run at the Edinburgh Fringe? Would explain the lack of Northern dates and I can imagine the cast wanting to return without the pressures of a new show.

I was thinking the same, it would be quite a coincidence for the tour to finish less than a fortnight before the Fringe begins. Somewhere like Pleasance Grand would be an obvious venue. The next advance sale dates for the Fringe are 19th April and 17th May, by which time the likes of Pleasance, Underbelly and Assembly will all have their full line-ups on sale, so the details should be confirmed on one of those dates. With Showstopper already confirmed for Edinburgh, it looks like that's August sorted for you, Dawnstar!

I've never been to the Edinburgh Festival (I was supposed to go last summer but was ill) and I doubt I can make it this year. Besides, it would be dreadful having to choose between seeing Showstopper or MMN every evening! I will however definitely be seeing MMN at my local theatre (all the performances) and will probably day trip 2 or 3 of the other venues.

Just booked for 4 shows in Oxford, really looking forward to seeing this again. Surprised to see that only the front 10 rows of the stalls and 2 rows of the circle are on sale for this, maybe they aren't anticipating large ticket sales. Second row is only £10 if you're a student so am seeing both on the Thursday and Saturday at the Playhouse.

martello736 See you in Oxford. Further to the Edinburgh Fringe speculation above, I've been told that they're not currently planning to take the show to Edinburgh this summer.

Further to the Edinburgh Fringe speculation above, I've been told that they're not currently planning to take the show to Edinburgh this summer. In which case, the lack of any dates in the north of the UK is an absolute bafflement. TPTGW tour sold well up here in Scotland and TCAABR is near sold out for the peak performances when it comes here later in the year.

Tickets for both the Cambridge & Leicester tour stops went on public sale at midday today. If anyone's coming to any of the Cambridge shows & wants to meet up, let me know.

I see Mischief Theatre are giving a 20-30 minute preview of new work alongside Mischief Movie Night in Cambridge this coming week. Hopefully you can report back after seeing it Dawnstar and give us a hint about what they might have in store!

Hopefully you can report back after seeing it Dawnstar and give us a hint about what they might have in store! Believe me I'll be there. Repeatedly! I've already seen double Saturday shows in both Oxford & Leicester but they didn't have the Mysterious Second Half (my name for it). Cheltenham & Exeter are the other venues that should have it.

The Mysterious Second half has had its first public performance. Unfortunately we've been forbidden from saying anything about it, which is a bit of a facer for a theatre discussion board.

Hello. First time poster long time lurker. I’m off to see MMN in Cardiff on opening night and just wondered if anyone could answer a quick question. I’m taking my mate who’s only agreed to come with me because she thinks Henry Shields is an English Channing Tatum. I know that it was mentioned that the cast alternate the days off so long story short are the whole cast on stage at opening night or I am running the risk of my bestie never speaking to me again 🤔 xxx

I guess if you're really bothered then you could try tweeting @mischiefcomedy & asking them if they've yet decided who's due to be off that show. The only other option would be to do what I did & see 9 MMNs in a row so I saw all the possible cast combinations!

I’m toying with booking the Sunday show as well as me and bestie are both in Uni in cardiff and are down there anyway. Thanks again xx

The tour finishes this weekend. I'm on a train to Cardiff. Anyone else from here going to be there?

The tour finishes this weekend. I'm on a train to Cardiff. Anyone else from here going to be there? I was but sadly I have had to make do with one show as my Dad is now in hospital. He's fine just under observation due to strong antibiotics. So, Lost In The Shop was my first and possibly last if there isn't another tour. Just have to wait till October for The Comedy About A Bank Robbery. Already have tickets for that

gemmiejewel That's a shame. Hope he recovers soon. Since Henry S wasn't in last night's show I'm guessing that you did at least get to see him in the one show you saw. Oh yes, the ushers were handing out lots of TCAABR leaflets yesterday. I'll certainly be seeing it but at venues rather nearer to me than Cardiff.

It was Bryony's night off but she was in the theatre watching. It was a brilliant night. Can't wait to see what they do next.

The tour has now finished. It was really nice that the entire cast were onstage for the last show, because Henry Shields was doing the music alongside Ed Zanders. I had no idea that Henry is evidently a very good musician.

I had no idea that Henry is evidently a very good musician. Oh man I missed that! I saw some pictures from the old Scat Pack days of him sat by the piano so I assumed he played but didn't realised that he did the music for them to. Hopefully there'll be something similar at some point. Its been such a success I can't see them putting it to bed altogether. Would make a great TV series. Sadly we didn't get the Mysterious Second Half like some theatre so have no idea what's happening next. Will keep an eye on Twitter.

As they've been improvising on & off for 10 years now I'm sure this won't be the last time. I'm not sure about improv on TV though. I think you might need the live audience connection. I got the impression that the Mysterios Second Half won't be ready in its intended full version for a while.

But a load of drive in gigs have just been cancelled, I'd be worried this would just go the same way. Plus it's all well and good being socially distanced - until everybody piles out into the Tube!

Booked for the first show at Regents Park. Same layout as JCS but all tickets £25. So nothing in the lower deck if you’re single, but I did manage to get a front ticket in the upper deck. Not checked the other comedy shows but I only had to queue for two minutes to get on the site so there’s likely availability.
