7.45pm "Hoof Killed The Unicorn" a unicorn horror movie set in a hotel. The animated Western porn scene was unique (mercifully!).Best ever last words before being killed from Dave "F*** you!" Other highlights included Jonathan's dancing, umbrella unicorn horns, & the film going audience interactive with the knock knock jokes. In case it's not apparent from the above highlights, Henry L was Oscar for this one.
9.15pm "Turn Around Bright Eyes" a superhero movie set in Chicago with a hero who could shoot fire from his eyes. Some very peculiar villains' sidekicks in this one: Madam Slime (Charlie), Obby (sp?) who only spoke coherently when not wearing goggles (Henry L) & Richard who spent most of the time frozen in a block of ice (Dave). The Spanish number, with an Obby-led chorus that was utter gobbledygook, was quite something.
Lovely to see @ldnmzfitz at the latter show.
I now want to go home, have a good cry & sleep for several weeks (which I can't because I have to be at work on Monday). I failed at stagedooring, missed my train & am only leaving Kings Cross now at quarter past midnight. Wondering why I put so much time, money & love into theatregoing only to end up feeling utterly drained & depressed. It's been a bitter irony to be repeatedly exhorted by Mischief to donate to the Samaritans' bucket collections they've been doing when I'm currently struggling with bad anxiety and, having had a panic attack on the train down to London just before Christmas, have had to force myself onto trains to London for the last 5 weeks to see them.

Ouch! On missing trains xxx. And all the other "stuff".
I had fun last night, despite that pitiful attempt on the musical number, lol. I love watching Dave Hearne, he be rotten at poker. Lots of fun and am a bit sad I only got to see two.
Glad the annoying laugh person wasn't acknowledged.

londonmzfitz Sorry for mis-tagging you last night. The music wasn't bad but the chorus did have what were probably the worst ever lyrics performed on a West End stage! I'm sad that I "only" got to see 27!

Anyone interested in an overall summary of the run, I've been keeping a list of all the show titles. The ones marked with an asterisk are the ones I saw. The others were taken from Charlie's tweets & posts on here.
13th December Bend It Like Peckham* 14th December Face Off 15th December 7.45pm It Came From Stage Left 15th December 9.15pm Rainbows And Unicorns 16th December 7.45pm Jingle My Laser Beams* 16th December 9.15pm Barred II* 17th December Ride ‘Em Cowbob 19th December A Mancunian In Paris 20th December Tinderbells 21st December Gone With The Zoo 22nd December 7.45pm From Bussia With Love* 22nd December 9.15pm Santa And The Goat* 23rd December 4pm It Was Me* 23rd December 7.45pm Nuns On The Run* 23rd December 9.15pm Teenage Rampage* 27th December 7.45pm The Leisure Centre Chronicles 27th December 9.15pm A Lidl Bit of Love 28th December The Last Ship to Eeling Broadway 29th December 7.45pm Spaghetti Hoops* 29th December 9.15pm CPR Or Die* 30th December 4pm Seamus Can’t Swim* 30th December 7.45pm T-Vet* 31st December 4pm Slot Wars 31st December 7pm Cardiff Carnage 2nd January 7.45pm The Circle Line of Life 3rd January 7.45pm The Horror of Yeast 4th January 7.45pm Doyouthinkhesaurus?! 5th January 9.15pm Expelled With Blood 6th January 4pm Last Post* 6th January 7.45pm Jenny Goes Down* 6th January 9.15pm Goodnight Alex* 7th January 7pm Fifty Shelves Of Grey 9th January 7.45pm She Died With Her Boots On 10th January 7.45pm Will He Cotton On? 11th January 7.45pm Read My Mind* 12th January 9.15pm Gone Goat 13th January 4pm Gone With The Current* 13th January 7.45pm First Cut* 13th January 9.15pm Artichokes* 14th January 7pm Bambi Goes To Pluto 16th January 7.45pm Gorgon-Zola! 17th January 7.45pm Ship Happens 18th January 7.45pm The Bouncer* 19th January 9.15pm Suck It And Sing 20th January 4pm Cake Fu* 20th January 7.45pm The Secret Life Of Brian* 20th January 9.15pm Can You Dig It?* 21st January 7pm Too Many Holes 23rd January 7.45pm I’ve Got A Sinking Feeling 24th January 7.45pm Watch Out! 25th January 7.45pm The Neckcracker* 26th January 9.15pm 24 Carat Carrot 27th January 4pm Loch Ness Dragon* 27th January 7.45pm Hoof Killed The Unicorn* 27th January 9.15pm Turn Around Bright Eyes*
I've put the blank script that was sold to good use by writing up plot summaries of all the shows I've seen & pasting them in (though I found my gluing skills were worse than your average 5 year old!) so I've made myself a sort of scrapbook of the run. I'm hoping that'll help me to remember the shows in the future.
I tried to work out a top 5 of all the shows I've seen but it ended up as a top 6 as I couldn't decide between two of them (in order of date rather than ranked):
Santa & The Goat 22nd Dec 9.15pm Nuns On The Run 23rd Dec 7.45pm T-Vet 30th Dec 7.45pm First Cut 13th Jan 7.45pm Cake Fu 20th Jan 4pm The Neckcracker 25th Jan
I couldn't pick a number 1 but T-Vet did have both my favourite perofrmance of the series, Charlie as Mitzi the cat, & my favourite song of the series, "Sexual Fondue", the chorus of which is still stuck in my head nearly a month later - which is better than a lot of scripted musicals!

I wonder if Mischief Movie Night could return later in the year? I'm sure it would do very well in one of the larger spaces, such as Pleasance Grand, at the Edinburgh Fringe, where the likes of Showstopper pull in the crowds every August.

We'll have to wait & see. If they did then I'd probably bankrupt myself temporarily relocating to Edinburgh! What I'd really like is for them to do one evening a month, like they did in 2015 at the Duchess. That'd give them plenty of time to work on other projects while still giving us fans our Mischief fix!

I see the running time is given as 1h20 so I hope that means more Mischief & not a really long charity speech! When I saw the show, they struggled to finish it off within the hour and the last 5mins were really rushed. I assume the extra time will give them a bit of breathing space.

When they did the Monday nights at the Duchess in 2015 they mostly ran about 1h20 so I hope they're going back to that. I agree that some of the 1 hour MMNs felt a bit rushed at the end. If anyone is interested, the cast for the March MMN is currently planned to be everyone who did the Arts shows, including Bryony, apart from Harry (he's in the tour of This House that starts shortly). I find this depressing. Not just because I've already booked & I can't justify buying another ticket but it also feels as if all the hours I've spent standing outside stage doors over the last few years are no longer enough. Now you have to pay just to have a conversation.

In fairness that is a charity event. I also loathe paid 'meet and greet' events as a rule (and for profit) but I think as a one-off (or occasional) charity fundraiser, much like selling autographs etc it's a nice way to raise a bit of money. It's not designed as a personal slight to dedicated fans like yourself, just a means to a charitable end.

I wouldn't mind so much if it emphasised it was for charity but that's not how it reads to me. If it said "We are holding a special meet & greet to raise more money for the charity" then I don't think I'd feel so hacked off, but it doesn't. The emphasis comes over as it being to have the priviledge of meeting the cast, not giving to charity. There's also the issue that by only announcing it several days after the tickets went on sale most fans will have already booked. I may have considered paying £50 but I'm jolly well not paying £50 on top of the £20 I've already paid. Despite currently feeling rather hacked off with the above, I am now on a train to London praying I make it to the Criterion by 7.30 to see Dave in TCAABR, having seen on Twitter at 5.45 that he's going to be on tonight. I jumped off a bus home, on a bus to the train station & then onto a train. This is probably going to sound awfully up myself but I'd say that's being a fan at least as much as paying for a meet & greet.

It says 'Gala night for....' etc. I can't comment on the ticket timing as I don't follow it as closely. But also if they've seen the opportunity to raise a bit of money, I support that- they aren't trying to screw over anyone simply do a little 'add on' to try and raise a bit of money. Much like the BCEFA 'auctions' and 'bucket collections' in NY which sell posters signed by the cast and all manner of meet and greet expereinces, they aren't designed as a slight to loyal fans like yourself, simply a way to raise money for worthy causes. I think you're letting your anger override a bit there- it couldn't be clearer it's a charity event. And ok so you missed out this time, or you feel a bit put out but it's really not meant as a personal slight to you or other fans.

I guess it's all a matter of perception. Maybe because of my Asperger's I'm reading it differently to normal people.

I guess it's all a matter of perception. Maybe because of my Asperger's I'm reading it differently to normal people. Perhaps but it's really not a personal slight to you (or any other fan) it's just a charity event. It's a bit sad that a nice thing by the company (raising money for charity, and current and worthy one right now, really relevant to the industry) is being viewed here as a 'bad thing' by someone just because it means you aren't getting something you want? Or to put it another way, you've had lots of time and attention from the cast- what's one night in the name of charity? Again, perspective take a step back and think about how that looks- you're complaining that the company are raising money to help people. Also (you'll probably take this the wrong way but it goes for all people who do similar things) just because you go to a show a lot, and hang around stage door often doesn't entitle you to anything more than any other fans/casual theatre goers.

@emicardiff has some very good points. No fan is more special or important than any other fan, and it really is kinda churlish to look at a beloved company doing a thing that will raise money for a good cause and decide the best response is to... well, whine about it.

Thanks for the mental equivalent of a slap in the face. Usually this board is supportive when people vent frustrations but evidently not to me.
Oh and I didn't say anything against them raising money for charity. If you re-read my previous post I said that I didn't feel the charity aspect was emphasised enough in the tweet.

Oh and I didn't say anything against them raising money for charity. If you re-read my previous post I said that I didn't feel the charity aspect was emphasised enough in the tweet. Firstly if you’re going to throw accusations I’m not the only one who replied. Secondly everybody was offering the reasonable suggestion that you maybe just take a step back and consider your response. Thirdly myself and the other responders politely pointed out that Mischief were very clear about the charity aspects. These boards are a conversation and if you can’t handle a little polite criticism sometimes it’s possibly not the place for you.

The VIP meet and greet tickets have been available from the first day of sales, though perhaps the availability of the seats could have been highlighted in the initial press release. The seats in question are the black premium seats on the Criterion seating plan. Each seat has an information icon in the ticketing system which states that they're part of a VIP Meet and Greet package. There's still some available so maybe you could exchange and upgrade? It wouldn't really seem in the spirit of a charity event for the box office to say no. Glad you made it to the Bank Robbery in time!

I may have missed it, given the speed at which I booked when the seats went on sale, but I don't recall the meet & greet aspect being highlighted last week. I have considered that but the problem is I want to sit in the front row, where I have booked, because the rake in the front stalls at the Criterion is pretty much non-existant & having been stuck behind a tall & broad person for my first ever viewing of TCAABR it's not an experience I wish to risk having to repeat. I arrived at 7.22pm, so just!

I understand where you're coming from, but don't get upset over how a marketing blurb is worded. It was probably written by some random marketing person in an office somewhere, and their entire brief is to sell tickets. "Meet Famous People!!" is going to do that far more effectively than "Give More Money To Good Causes!!!" It simply does not make sound business sense to emphasis the charitable aspect of the meet and greet, because that's not why people buy meet and greet packages. I doubt Mischief had anything to do with it other than to say yes when they were asked if they'd put in a tiny bit more time and effort for the charity they're already giving a lot of time and effort to.
