I'm still not sure I entirely agree with charging an extra fiver to sit on Zoom completely muted for an hour, although you do get to have a chat with Jonathan Sayer an hour before which is nice, he's a lovely bloke. It's a supply and demand thing in my mind. Considering the numbers they've got watching they could charge way more than a £5 premium and still fill those tickets. It's not my kind of thing really but £5 is a steal if you wanted that.

I wonder if for the 11:30 show they will be allowed to be more risqué. Not that they ever go into the realm of adult comedy but I do feel the insistence on stopping bits that are even vaguely rude does curtail the comedy a bit When I've seen them do 3 shows in a day, with the latest starting post-9pm, the late shows have been more likely to have more dodgy moments! I'm sure if it was an in-person live show being done at 11.30pm then it would be allowed to be dodgy but if they're doing it for international audiences then that might be an issue because it won't be so late for them. I wonder if the evident ban on kissing also makes it somewhat cleaner.

The answer is probably a no, but is there anyway for us ticket holders to be able to watch the livestreams back?

No, according to a number of replies I've seen from Mischief to people tweeting that question over the last few days. It's a pity we can't though, as I'd love to be able to see some things again! I've been screencapping while watching to try to remember some things.

It's great to have MMN back and have some theatrical joy in our lives. Despite some initial IT issues (I think Trevor was at the IT system earlier on) with logging onto the stream, it was another great watch. An 80s musical set in a library. Some really great songs in there and Dave Hearn's dancing was just great. Shout out to Harry Kershaw who managed to get through the night without forgetting character names.
The poster that the graphic designers did for this movie (Careless Whisper) during the show was brilliant. They ought to do them for each show.
Welcome back Mischief Theatre. You have been missed!

Great fun watching Careless Whisper - Dave Hearn was the star for me last night. The dancing and the 'ghost' were both very funny, plus the hat throwing scene which descended into chaos. Henry Lewis had some very funny lines as always, while Mike Bodie played 2 very sympathetic characters.
Will be interesting to see if everyone gets a show off this time as some didn't last time and they're doing more shows this time. I was a bit surprised not to see Henry Shields as it was the first show.

I'd worked out beforehand that with an ensemble of 11 each of them should miss either 3 or 4 shows. However this was based on 8 people doing each show & last night there were only 7 in the ensemble so if they continue with 7 then almost everyone would have to miss 4 shows. Though this assumes a strict rotation, which wasn't the case for the December shows where I couldn't work out a pattern to predict who wouldn't be in each show. It was much easier during the 2018 tour, when 1 person missed each show in prety strict rotation. I am probably overthinking this, & since I've booked for every show I guess it shouldn't matter to me who's in any one performance anyway!

Booked tonight’s and will dip in and out going forward. I don't know how anyone has the willpower to do this. If I wasn't watching any of the streams I'd be absolutely miserable with massive FOMO!

Henry L, Bryony, Harry and Niall off tonight (I think the first 3 did all the shows in the Christmas run) - tonight's film was The Primary Cape Crusader, and it made absolutely no sense at all but it was brilliantly funny.
Highlights include: anything Joshua Elliott did or said as Vivian the Goblin, Nancy's Miss Crumb, Dave inheriting Harry's name amnesia in his absence, and Henry's news reporter 'No more, No more, sad face'.

Joshua Elliott has been absolutely hilarious in every scene that he's been in on the MMNs. Ridiculous but so funny.

Absolutely fantastic but bonkers movie tonight with the Superhero theme. I'm really loving these streams. You can guarantee complete chaos each night and they just great fun to watch. I'm loving the new set for this set of movie nights.

This was, for me, one of the funniest moments of the first run of live streamed shows - am very pleased it has resurfaced. I am secretly hoping Delta makes a return at some point this week.

Honestly, wouldn't be surprised. Was brilliant when he made an appearance in the Cat in The Habit on the final night of the first run. I reckon Henry Lewis is going to be pretty keen to get his character or name back in at least.

Henry Lewis is Oscar tonight - looks like we’re getting more rotation with the cast this time round.

It'll be interesting to see if Jonathan is in the ensemble or having the night off. I hope the former but given they have a plentiful supply of people for this run - unlike in 2017/18 where once Bryony broke her arm there wasn't anyone spare - the latter is probably more likely.

Tonight's movie was Dressed for Danger - a murder mystery set in the dress rehearsal of a new musical (a very similar concept to Curtains the musical).
This one actually had a plot for most of it, but as with every other Mischief Movie, descended into chaos as we headed towards the finale.
Highlights for me were Dave Hearn as a tree that had the magical power of changing someone's profession when he landed on them, Dave as Tony - who had a strange obsession with muslin cloth, the entire musical number Augustus Repellant featuring Nancy and Dave (and Niall as a random steel drummer in the background), Henry Shields shimmying and Bryony as a hat stand that kept changing positions (including a great rewind and pause from Henry as Oscar).
(I think I'm right in saying that Mike, Nancy, Lauren and Dave have done every show so far).

(I think I'm right in saying that Mike, Nancy, Lauren and Dave have done every show so far). *Checks screencaps* Yes, they have. I wish Mike got a bit more to do though. He seems to have had the smallest role in all 3 shows & only got a big role in one of the December shows.

A Cop In The Ocean tonight - a buddy cop film
As per Dawnstar's wish - Mike had a lot to do tonight which was good fun, as was Henry Lewis as his buddy (and a talking waterfall). Joshua Elliott continues to make me laugh every time he's in a scene, and Harry Kershaw's limericks were good fun - first two decent, he rather faltered on the last one! The silent film sequence was hilarious.
Quote of the night: 'I bring intelligence' 'Are you sure?'
That line had me howling.

Yes, I was pleased Mike played one of the lead roles tonight and, yes, that was one of the best dialogue exchanges I've ever heard in an improv show!

Tonight's film was High Tide School - a flood disaster movie
This one had a fairly coherent plot, especially by Mischief standards - even Henry Lewis as Oscar commented on some of the bits actually being good!
Lauren Shearing's Janine, Mike Bodie's shark, Dave Hearn's Greg Danvers, and Harry Kershaw causing mayhem were all highlights this evening.

Still really enjoying these. I always wondered how unique each “movie” would be, having not seen it before they started streaming them, but I’m impressed by how genuinely different they all are. Even when the scenarios are a bit similar the turnover of performers and the different ways they bounce off each other keeps it fresh.
I always love seeing Lauren Shearing and Josh Elliott in the cast, having only discovered them through this. His line about the girl scouts the other night was kinda wrong, but so funny.
