Is anyone else have trouble with the NT website? Lots of the booking page is blanked out including any way for me to choose my own seats and the option to choose a new date without going back to the home page. I have joined via two different browsers and looked at a couple of different shows but it's the same on each page.

I have joined via two different browsers and looked at a couple of different shows but it's the same on each page. I just had a look at Witches and didn't have any issues. Was in a queue for a few mins and then straight in. Checked a few dates seating plans with no problem.

I can't find any stalls seats further forward than row D for any performance. Anyone know whether seats closer to the stage are added at the Olivier nearer the show opening date ?
I'm sure I've sat front row in at least one NT venue at around £20 so reluctant to pay £86 for row D.

I got them in the Amex presale this morning and when I looked there was already limited availability

I noticed for Hex lots of £20 seats reappeared nearer the time so maybe people book and cancel once they read reviews. I know I’ve booked for row B and there were some in row A and C available.

Thanks for replies . I gave up looking after checking about 30 dates but resumed and there are still a few £20 seats in rows B and C left after Christmas, one of which I've booked.

I thought there was quite a gap before Nye with the new announcement today but it turns out this has already been extended and now runs until 27 Jan.

Well that's a great cast, and a solid creative team (let's hope this is a Lyndsey Turner HIT rather than MISS - I find them to be either brilliant (A Number) or dreadful (The Crucible) so here's hoping it's the former.

Every time I see her name, I'm always reminded of when I was briefly FB friends with the producer Tom O'Connell, and one day his status just said "Three Words - SALLY ANN TRIPLETT". Always makes me chuckle.

Thats a huge cast isn't it? Indeed. Cut backs at the Nash? Can many other theatres afford this cast list? I'm pleased so many folk are getting work but when the NT pass round the begging bowl then my trotters are remaining firmly in my pockets

Also when you have kids in the cast on rotation the numbers always go up.

Bloody hell, just checked the prices. The only family that can afford this is the Royal one, eighty six quid for a decent ticket!

Of course. But that doesn't change the fact it is still disgustingly elitist, even more so considering it's ostensibly a family show.

I understand that of course, but there are cheaper options if you don't want to get the best seats, right? And the NT does a day seat scheme too I believe. But a family of 4 to come into the city, see a show, and have dinner could run high. Totally hear you....

it always baffles me when people moan about ticket prices when a show's already been on sale for months. obviously cheaper options have already gone. plus the NT is far better than most when it comes to schemes (day seats etc).

It baffles me that people complain about ticket prices and premium seats when A the West End is 1/3 of the price of Broadway B there are more offers, rush seats, lotteries and day seats for the West End than regional UK theatre C the theatres all have cheaper seats at the back of the stalls and finally D most Brits I know spend thousands on alcohol smartphones food and holidays and don’t ever mention prices ever - a one time trip to the theatre is EXPENSIVE, ELITIST and a RIP OFF! Hm. Group bookings are super for discount too - just get ten mates together.

It’s all a matter of perspective. For me, an American (New Yorker, specifically) who spends a significant amount of time in London, UK ticket prices are thing we only WISH we had in NYC. But if all you really know are UK ticket prices that have steadily risen, then to you they would absolutely seem obscene in some cases.

All kids tickets are £20 off apart from the cheapest price band too...
Like others have said, there were opportunities to book cheaper tickets for this when it went on sale (the back of the circle in the Olivier is always £20 on the sides when it goes on sale and brilliant view because of the shape of the Olivier) - and with that many people in the cast, creatives and orch to add on top of that, it's going to be an expensive show to see, but you're getting a lot of bang for your buck, as opposed to a 1/2 person show

I booked a family trip as soon as it went on sale, £20 each right at the front. A lot later a friend said she wanted to go, we're going for £20 each rear circle. A couple of weeks back I checked and £20 tickets were still available too.
