As per the previous thread where you posted the same question and got a reply. Spring 2018 sees Tina the Musical moving into the Aldwych, in the mean time probably a short run of a play.

I think Parsley has emigrated to Canada in the hope of catching the new Bland It Like Beckham production.
I mean, he wouldn't get banned and then return as "remark" now would he? No sir.

Credit where it's due. Nice to see the restoration levy being spent on...restoration. (Mentioning no names.)
So that gives a potential reopening date of mid to late November, just in time for Christmas. (I've used my fingers, and everything.)

The Aldwych is a Nederlander theatre, right? So I'm guessing part of the refurb will be all LED, much like the new Dominion signage. The LED screens are a very 'Broadway' thing, right? And we've got a few West End theatres heading the same way. I don't mind it - it must save a huge amount of money as opposed to changing the marquees every time (though it might balance out in leccy costs?!) - but I do mourn the disappearing of the massive real-life theatre marquees! But I get it.

But I get it. It's inevitable as the technology has gotten more affordable. The Aldwych marquee never stood out that much so replacing with LED screens isn't a huge loss |

Have you heard this from someone semi-legit or are you just basing it on what members have wished for on this forum and thought would be a good venue for "Waitress"? Not being antagonistic, I just feel that nothing "Waitress" related has happened outside of this forum's wishful thinking. |
