Rows G to L are re-numbered but unchanged, so loads of cheap lowest price pillar seats, yes. In front of those is a gap, then B and C - which have a space in the middle of the rows. Then A and AA, both far shorter than usual. Basically, they've taken away E and F to use the flat floor space where AA to F usually are.
Down the sides are 5 long rows, going from where the side blocks usually start, down towards the back of the stage.
Upstairs, only three long rows, with a short row A (third price) at the edges, too.
ETA: Every date seems to have all the cheapest restricted seats unsold, so there will be plenty to go around, I'm thinking. Top price is also £39.50 for a change. I was told by the Box Office that the layout is the same as it was for 'Our Town', and that the best views would be from the narrow central section. |

I clearly need to nip in quick when the house opens and shoot round a few seats working out the view and counting the seats instead of just diligently writing my seat number on my spreadsheet and then not looking at it before the sudden panic of booking each time. Thanks though, advice always very helpful.

If you have your spreadsheet and the usual seating plan, you can figure it out from that, can't you Peggs? I think the answer is yes I ought to be able to (have actually panicked bought now so will see) but the part of my brain that should be able to perform that function seems to have gone on holiday and the rest of it appears lazy. It probably the same part of my brain that failed to understand my ten year old nieces' algebra the other day and there's people suggesting I must be clever to go to the theatre  |

That was nice and painless - particularly remembering how it used to be before they upgraded the booking system.
Surprisingly Summer and Smoke seems to be the one that's selling fastest unless they've not released a lot of the seats yet.
Got £20 partially restricted seats for all three, I'm expecting the usual decent amount of legroom you'd expect from the Almeida. The recently installed new seats should be perfectly comfortable.

So smooth and simple! I still have nightmares about booking Mary Stuart and Hamlet last year so it seems surreal to get the tickets so easily.

EDIT: well that was pretty easy. Got 3 stalls tickets during previews.

After Mr Burns I have no interest in The Twilight Zone but managed, without any queue, to get the seats I was after and on the nights I wanted for the other two...

The recently installed new seats should be perfectly comfortable. They really are, and it is lovely not to have to "share" any more with the seat-hogs who think a double bench is 90% theirs... Yes I also hated the 'love-seats.' Booking really painless today, sad that is worthy of comment. |

Still not that much leg room. But the end seats are staggered a bit so if you have a ..ahem..knee problem, go for an end.

If there are any other cheapskates here like me, what are the stalls £10 tickets behind the pillar like compared with getting the same price tickets on the sides of the circle? I can't quite tell if these will be unobtrusive or those pillars that seem to take up all of the view.

I tend to go for the £20 seats but I think generally the stalls is preferable - very limited legroom in the circle and the side view restricts quite a lot of the stage. The pillars are slim and easy to see round. Certainly the £20 seat I had in the circle for Hamlet was a lot worse than a £20 seat in the stalls. |

There are some decent ones in the Stalls whereas in the slips you will miss a bit here and there. |

Row F is negligible, as the pillars are narrow and obstruct very little (or, if you're lucky, nothing at all!), though the further back you go, the more pillars you'll have in your eyeline. That said, I'm trusting the Monkey and have taken an end of row L for Albion because he promises they're good. Rule of thumb, always take a cheap seat in the central block over a cheap seat at the sides. (Also I've never sat in the circle at the Almeida so can't comment on what they're like with any sort of authority. If I hadn't been on the tour once, I don't think I'd even have been up there.) |

Booked to see Summer and Smoke, centre of row B in the Circle. Hopefully not too cramped! Somehow it's only my second show at the Almeida, my only previous visit was for Before The Party in 2013.

When I was there last I sat next to a man who told me he always books the same seat as it had an extra bit of space for him to put his large (he clearly had ignored the bag size requests) rucksack in and I thought I really should update the monkey.
