Having seen On The Town yesterday i was wondering what shows people think could work there, taking into account its unique setting
Oklahoma South Pacific The Secret Garden (know nothing about the musical but the setting of story would work) A Little Night Music Aspects of Love Light in the piazza

I know Piazza started off in the vast Lincoln Centre but I feel it is a very intimate piece and would be perfect for the studio spaces of the world.
My vote is for anything outdoors and garden like, Sunday, Secret Garden, Iolanthe etc
I would love for On the Town's creatives to tackle Oaklahoma! Hasn't been done in London for donkeys
ENO are staging Turn of Screw there next year. I would love them to have a crack at The Knot Garden, Midsummer Nights Dream and Midsummer Marriage

I would love to see Evita there. I also think Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella would work well there.

I think Disney's Tarzan could be a good idea.
Also Carousel would be good, as from what I remember there are no scenes set inside are there?

A little night music would be perfect there. I can't believe they haven't done it.. maybe that dreadful Mernier production is to blame.

Oh yes, Regent's Park is uncannily like 60's urban Baltimore. Light in the Piazza- yes! or Hairspray

Since I've never seen Brigadoon, I wouldn't mind them doing it.
Otherwise I second the idea of a outdoor-themed show like The Secret Garden or Sunday in the Park with George.

They tried to get the rights but double denim wearing Nunn was already planning it for the Menier (I agree the production was very poor) so the Open Air did Woods instead

'110 in the Shade' would be perfect! Something like 'Sweet Charity' would also be interesting.

I've been banging on about The Secret Garden for years and I will not rest until they meet my demands.
It doesn't have to be an outdoor-set-only show though, The Sound Of Music has plenty of indoor scenes and was still a lovely way to pass an afternoon in Regent's Park.
