In a workshop can it hypothetically change night to night, based on notes from TPTB? Yes, and from what I've heard it is changing show to show. I was at the first show on Tuesday night (which was brilliant) and I know of some changes that have been made since then. Audience feedback could also play a part in any changes, as they're using sli.do to collect feedback

The way a workshop like this works is the cast and creatives are in during the day rehearsing and changing stuff with the new version perforked that night. It's quite mad as you can have several different versions of songs in your head.
Out of curiosity, what number was cut?

Blue has been replaced with You're Welcome, which was written to replace Blue in the High School version of the show

Just back from seeing this afternoon's matinee performance. An audience member was taken ill during the first number of the show and so the show was stopped and not restarted until 4.30 pm making for a rather long afternoon. My daughter has had the cd for a couple of years and I could see from looking around that she was certainly not the only 16 year old present - it's heaven sent for teenagers who feel that they are somehow different. She was right in warning me that it was 'not your demographic' but she loved it. I would certainly imagine that it would find an audience in London. Very strong young cast and some very nice singing.

Re "teenagers who somehow feel they are different" it seems to me that it's not as simple as that anymore. Wicked covers that ground perfectly but Heathers is about a high school homicidal maniac and in the post-Columbine world that's not as interesting or quirky as it was when the movie first appeared. Now we know all too well the horrors such a character can inflict. For the musical that changes everything. What was once just dark is now pitch black and it affects (and infects) the show.

That is interesting. I have not seen or listened to the musical but I rewatched the film last year (child of the 90s here) and it still stands up. Of course, there were high school shootings prior to Columbine, but that was a turning point in many ways because either Klebold or Dylan kept an online, pre-blog, diary which was widely read after the murders, so the general public got an instant view into the killers without information being disseminated through the press or through police first. The writer's vision of Veronica in HEATHERS was much darker, here were the two original, alternate endings: "MICHAEL LEHMANN Director The original ending was that J.D. blew up the high school and they all died, then there was a prom scene in heaven. [New World execs] just said, “No way. We can’t make a satirical movie about teenage suicide in which the people actually kill themselves.”" "WATERS The ending I should’ve fought harder for is where Martha Dumptruck pulls out a knife, stabs Veronica, and says, “F— you, Heather.” And Veronica’s on the ground laughing, with a knife in her stomach, saying, “My name’s not Heather. My name’s not Heather.”" ew.com/article/2014/04/04/heathers-oral-history/

Hello, just wondering what changes people noticed from the original production/cast album? have been a huge fan ever since I caught it on off-Broadway and was gutted to have missed this.

Heathers is fine but they really need to do a production of their other workshopped show, Bonnie and Clyde.

She'll sell the tickets, that's for sure.
For the record, she's ok when shes nowhere near social media. Then she's a headcase
