WHERE IS THIS SODDING CAST RECORDING? Mills? Kenright? Anyone? It feels like they've forgotten all about it! I believed Paul Taylor Mills, on the last night, when he said it would be out in time for Christmas!Aaah but he didn't say 2018! 😂

Bit silly of him to promise that, he had no involvement in producing the cast album so had no control over when it went out

Given the quality of the vocals it’s probably stuck in post-production... for about another YEAR! 😬

The Heathers hype is gonna be dead by the time they bring it out at this rate Follies, Young Frankenstein, Made In Dagenham, Company etc etc. All interminable waits. ?Funny Girl - I forget when in relation to the production that came out. We have a TERRIBLE record compared to Broadway where a show has to only be on for about 5 minutes before the CD is out. Such a shame. Cast recordings such a fab way to remember stuff, especially the short runners. Bring back the 80s and the money-no-object era I say. The 25th anniversary Starlight Express recording was finally released over two years after they went into the studio (for it's 27.5th bday if you will). And then of course became promptly out of date 2.5 years later. Still, it's epic, so was worth waiting for. The stress of worrying it would never come out was quite something though (yeah I know, 1st world problems etc). Anyway, sorry, I've meandered. Back to Heathers - not a fan, but I share the angst of those waiting for the CD!

^ Very this.
I too wish we would adopt the same attitude as Broadway when it comes to cast recordings. With Tina going to Broadway this year it means that we can finally look forward to hearing Adrienne on record, though it’s disappointing that the London Cast won’t have the honour.
With regard to Follies that recording ought to be out soon as it’s return to the Nash next month would be the perfect opportunity to capitalise on sales.

Riverdale are doing a Heathers musical episode next season, It's next week's episode! And if Madelaine Petsch isn't Heather C then it's not worth watching. Edit: Read it wrong. It's airing March 20th but still this season.

AMAZING. I fell out with Riverdale (apparently prison gladiators was the line in the sand for me) but I'll be delighted to see what in the holy hell they do with this one. Do you think someone else will be murdered, is the entire series of Riverdale going to be like that season of Oz where they were putting on a production of Macbeth and every single character who took the title role ended up dead?

Follies released on Spotify last night!

Are you allergic to something? Did your throat swell up? 🤣🤣🤣
Quite why another recording is required is beyond me, even though I’m looking forward to it. The vocals are smokin’ on the US recording and the only positives I can see is ditching the execrable ‘Blue’ and getting the new songs. Hopefully the recording will find a way of making the lowered vocals sound just as thrilling as the US one. I presume it’s more to do with the creatives wanting a definitive version to sell on in the future. This will make a killing in performance rights on the amateur/university scene.

I do enjoy Blue (unpopular opinion right there).
The off-Broadway recording is not bad, but I think this will be better. I find CHF and Muscato's voices way superior to the originals (I'm not a huge fan of Barrett; oh my, another unpopular opinion).
I hated the London Heathers but I'm not planning on listening to their songs a lot, so that's ok.

I think it is Mr Muscato that is going to set the recording alight; he & Carrie blended really well. Green and Red were disappointing but Sophie Isaacs was as lovely as a high school bitch can be and I look forward to hearing her again. However, I am most excited to have Jenny O’Leary playing on my stereoradiogram. She was my showstopper both times I saw it.

Oh, yeah, I love Jenny!
And btw, when I said I hated the London Heathers I was referring to the characters named Heather, not the show itself (didn't love it either tho) . I know you read it that way, but just in case other people think I'm talking about the show.
