There's another outcast type character heading into town with a particularly chilly demeanour... could Ms Hope Fletcher be appropriate for that role? CALLING IT NOW! Forgive my ignorance but what role is that? Tut! Let it go will you....

I'm intreated to see if this will go into the WMC or the new theatre in Cardiff and which set there going to use to tour it. I wonder if the other palaces set has been built for the tour and I agree this show wouldn't sell without Carrie in the lead???

I wonder if the other palaces set has been built for the tour and I agree this show wouldn't sell without Carrie in the lead??? If this does end up touring it would be ridiculous to put it in the Millennium Centre, it would be way too big capacity wise and stage-size wise. The New Theatre would make a lot more sense, and venues similar to this throughout the tour.

For Edinburgh there are a variety of theatres but I was thinking the King’s for Heathers with its much smaller 1,300 audience capacity compared to the Festival theatre (1,800) and the barn-like Playhouse (3.000)

The Haymarket was quick to change the posters! People have tweeted this morning going past at 8.30am and The Band posters etc are already up! And why not? The show is over, the theatre has something else it needs to shift tickets for, it can make no more money keeping the Heathers posters up and best to do it on a Sunday when footfall is less.

Could this show made it this far without Carrie Hope Fletcher? I know the show had a built in fan base by the time it made it to The Other Place but, would it make it to the West End? Personally, I don't think so but, I'm usually wrong in the Theatre prediction business.
If, they want to bring it to Broadway they need to find a teen star bigger then CHF. If CHF comes to Broadway I have to say that she would get a massive reality check that she isn't as famous as she thinks she is.

I don’t think anyone is seriously suggesting that they would bring CHF for Broadway with it. It had a life before the Other Palace, with its’ own cast that people hold dear, and can go again with another generation. I’d just love to see more age appropriate casting next time.

There clearly wasn't enough demand for a Broadway run previously for this, why would that have changed now?

This show wouldn’t have got a W.E transfer without Carrie, and there’s no disputing that.

Also with the likes of Mean Girls and Dear Evan Hansen I doubt they'd succeed, too much competition I don't think DEH has much to do with it, but Mean Girls certainly sucks some of the oxygen out of the air for Heathers. Broadway is not an outrageous goal for the original production team to aim for, look at something like Hedwig. Shows can have a very long run up to their main stage successes. I'm not suggesting this production would ever transfer, I'm just saying that in the right circumstances a show can have a much bigger run later in it's life. Heathers could make it big in New York again maybe, just not today.

I saw this last night for the first time. Enjoyed it overall and some good songs in it. We hadn't realised when we'd booked that it was the last night, the screaming was deafening! I'm all for people enjoying themselves and showing their appreciation but it was a bit much at times when it overpowered the vocals.
Speeches at end of show mentioned a cast recording and hinted it will be returning

Changed the posters quickly, went past this morning as forgot to take a photo last night and already been replaced with signage for The Band!

The moral of the story is Never Forget to take a photo at the time. Sorry 😉

Addams Family didn't sell out here and that was sold on Womack and Dennis who, lets be honest, are far bigger names than CHF to the general public and its the general public who are, hopefully if you are producing the tour or the running the theatre its touring to, going to buy around 10000 tickets over the course of a week of 8 performances.
CHF fans I'm sure would buy tickets but there certainly aren't enough of them to make a tour a profitable proposition on their own.

Paul Taylor-Mills has now said on instagram that the cast recording will be out by Christmas. He has also said (probably to much digsust from most of you!!) “the show will be back in the (near) future”.

I don't mind it coming back as long as it's a you'd rather than a West End house or The Other Palace. I love The Other Palace but I'd rather they stick to doing new shows rather than bringing old stuff back.

Think the ‘corn nuts’ will be moving onto the new obsession of Dear Evan Hansen next year?

Think the ‘corn nuts’ will be moving onto the new obsession of Dear Evan Hansen next year? I don't think so. Carrie isn't in it far as we are aware, and also Dear Evan Hansen is very much a universal audience kind of show, whereas Heathers is more a teenage girl show. Mean Girls is more likely to draw that kinda group.

I think Waitress is the most likely show for them to cling to next, time will tell.

The announcement to the album is so unfair to people with low income who know its gonna be before Christmas but to don’t have a date to save up for it an idea of the price! Just release it already what’s taking so long?! It takes a while to mix an album! Low income? Huh? Sorry but that’s just ridiculous. It’s an album that will cost around £10 and will be out within the next 4 weeks. It may even go onto Spotify.
