I tried to do a search to not ask a question that may have been asked before, but couldn't find anything, so...
Do people think a London cast recording might be happening?
Mostly asking because this show has grown on me so very much and I do want to add the physical cast recording to my collection (yes, I'm old). But before I go and order the Off-Broadway one, I want to check if something may be planned for London.

All any of the cast have said (when asked often on social media) is 'it would be great but out of our hands' if I were a betting woman, I'd say yes though given it's had re-writes etc and they seem to be now pushing it as the 'finished' version. Obviously CHF will make sure we're the first to know haha

Well, that sounds hopeful. I'll hold off ordering the American CD for the time being then.

Yeah I’d agree that I can see a cast recording happening. With new songs and lyrics changes this now seems to be the finished version of the show that the writers were aiming for.

I truth, he was there. He wasn't that great in my opinion, with a crap American accent but I'll give him the benifit of the doubt as he had literally a couple of hours rehearsal.

I’m so confused by what’s happening with Hugh Maynard. He was on at the first preview but only as the coach and the understudy performed as Big Bud Dean etc. Even as the coach it seemed like he didn’t really know what he was doing.

Nathan is also playing the coach according to the article so I assume he is replacing Hugh.

I like Nathan Amzi, but what happened to Bill Maynard? Bill died in March this year! He was great in Heartbeat.

I like Nathan Amzi, but what happened to Bill Maynard? I have a weird kinda thing with him. I saw him in Aladdin and he was just fine, as he was in this. I saw him at Musical Marathon and it was clear he had a had a drink or three at the bar prior and he sounded kinda terrible, which considering you have told me for ages you wanna see him as the lead in School of Rock, I was like Jesus, please god no. I don't think I need to see him leading a show any time soon as based on what I have seen him in thus far. With this one though, as I said, benifit of the doubt and will go back again with an open mind.

So what are peoples thoughts on their chances at the Olivierd this year? It could get a slot in Musical, and if Jodie can get into Supporting, she would thoroughly deserve a nod there. It has no hope in a design catagory really, but Choreography too could get thrown in there for good measure.

Where it will win is the Whatsonstage awards. Seems Eliza Hamilton is destined to not be an award winning role. Im going back to this tomorrow, I has such a blast on Thursday and just couldn't resist it.

oh any idea Hamilton will sweep has gona out of the window for the Whatsonstage Awards. There is no way it will win more than this will, Heathers has such a dedicated fanbase it seems, they will vote in their droves. Watch it win set design. 😂😂 Carrie, Jamie and Jodie practically already have their names on those awards, Hamilton will get the Supporting Actor one as the two jocks will split but Dominic will probably get nominated because of how sexy he is as well as good in the show.

Funny you say that I thought he was great, his accent is Texan which is pretty accurate having a Uncle who’s from the south of America & considering the role (it’s not much for sure but as I found out what Hugh was supposed to do is currently split between him & Sergio) there isn’t lots to judge but still thought impressive in the few hours he had. But I’ve been a fan of his since Rock of Ages which he was brilliant in the lead. His rock ‘screlt’ isn’t going to be for everyone and he does more plays & tv recently so I was happy to see him back in the West End. Still would like to know what happened to Hugh?! Could he just not learn it? It’s odd that they seem to have brushed over it not actually announcing what Nathan is doing.

Just booked for the closing night. Gone and got myself one of the cheap £25 side upper circle seats, I've only been to the Haymarket once before and sat stalls so I've no idea what the seats are like but judging by comments on here and elsewhere those seats are preferable to the gallery ones. I probably should have held out until Friday (when I get paid) and got myself a better seat but oh well, I saw the show at the Other Palace and I'll see it again at the Haymarket before the final show so the restricted view shouldn't bother me too much.

I sat in one of those seats, the very back row on the aisle. Its a great view, you don't feel too far from the action and can see facial expressions. Also, there is a great rake so no heads in front of you. You just don't see the very bottom corner of the stage on either side you sit, but generally nothing happens there and when it does, you can still see the head of the person performing. Nothing major or important happens in those areas tho.

That's good to hear danieljohnson14 sounds like the seat you had isn't too dissimilar to the one I've booked (one in from the aisle, second to last row back). As for the restriction that doesn't sound like much of an issue at all, seems like I'll miss less than I did when I saw the show from the back row at the Other Palace and the enjoyment of that show wasn't ruined by the seat.

I too booked for the 24th November (on impulse - whoops!) despite having my first visit since the Other Palace still upcoming next week. I’m seeing Caroline, or Change in the evening so booked for the matinee at the very back of the stalls. As it’s the third time even if the view isn’t tremendous it won’t be too shabby hopefully. I’ve never been to a pre-closing performance matinee before, so I’m hoping for a muck-up.

Really praying for a recording, even if it’s just of I Say another, which has been running around my head. A very memorable song that after two viewings I can still remember the main melody.

I saw this last night and I admit I was a little disappointed. It may be because I was hyped up after seeing all the positive comments, but I just wasn't as wowed as I thought I'd be. The cast were all excellent though, CHF and Jamie Muscato were awesome!

Band A seats are currently reduced to £25 for tomorrow’s gala night show. I’m very excited to be going!
